What I appreciate about the Beverly Hills Cop movies is that they make no mistake who the villain is. There's no point in hiding it, we're just going to put it on display. You know from the first time you see him that Victor Maitland is the villain in the first one, and they don't hide the fact that Karla Fry is bad off the hop in 2. As soon as you see Maxwell Dent, you can tell as well. This movie did the exact same thing with Kevin Bacon, they let you know once you see him that he isn't good and don't bother trying to play it otherwise after.
But not the agent in Beverly hills cop 3
@@robogreek3157 And it's the least liked in the series. Obviously not because of that, but it's funny how that works out.
it's the gucci shoes and rolex watch, ain't it?
Well, and because it's Kevin Bacon, who is typecast for playing bad cops... ;-)
I like the way they kept that 80s feel by keeping some of the soundtracks in
"Dolemite Is My Name" is another great Eddie Murphy comedy.
48 hours is one of Eddie Murphy's that I really really like. There's a new sheriff in town and his name is Reggie Hammond
Came here to suggest. Also a great intro to the genius that is Rudy Ray Moore
I can't lie this made me emotional seeing them together again
They post videos all of the time, though.

I'm a Winnipeg boy. The Winnipeg Black Guys were my favourite team. lol. I like it when my city gets mentioned in pop culture.
I'm from the peg too. Movies really like putting us down huh? They did it in Gone Girl as well.
Amen, from a fellow Canuck. Not from Manitoba, but we cheer for each other when it comes to America.
I've been there. Delivered dry goods to a warehouse. Nice people.
I love this channel…..you two helped me through some dark times recently and I appreciate the content!❤
I wish the best for you, and I hope happier times are ahead for you.
@@jbjacobs9514 thank you I appreciate you for that 🤍💯
Jeffrey was actually his Detroit partner in the first two. Best known for intercepting the phone call and wrecking the damn Ferrari! 😂
He's always goin to be Paul from mad about u lol
They weren't partners just co workers

"And I can trust you?" Yes. "And you're my friend?" Yes. "And we're under cover?" Yes. "And you understand this?" No. "Good."
The director, Mark Molloy is Australian and it's his debut as an filmmaker.
Just like The late Don Simpson & Jerry Bruckheimer's other franchises Top Gun and Bad Boys,
this one for all it's worth gets back to basics with a little something new (even the callbacks).
Everything we loved since the original is still there.
Eddie Murphy as lead actor and producer just like the original
puts in exactly what we've been missing for so long.
His other previous films on streaming (mostly Netflix)
have had much success.
But just to have him reprising one of his signature characters and
with his genius as actor and conic legend feels so good again.
Bringing back most of the supporting cast from those early films
totally fills the heart with so much joy and awesomeness.
Newer characters (allies/crooks) are cool too and just like us, the viewers,
it's about them seeing what makes Axel Foley into the cop that he's been.
The story is great, the camerawork is clean with colors/angles,
the action sequences certainly get back to the energy of those first films and the original score by Lorne Balfe with Tim Capullo and synth extraordinare Sunglasses Kid is dope (so 1980s).
A 4th installment of this series was what i was waiting for.
Now that it's finally happened, I enjoyed every minute of it.
Thoroughly enjoyed this reactioN. I've never seen any of these Beverly Hills Cop movies from start to finish but y'all make it so fun that it didn't even matter - that's one of the things that sets y'all's channel apart 🙉
Paul Reiser played the same Detective _(Jeffrey Friedman)_ in BHC 1 and BHC 2.
I love the chemistry between John Ashton, Judge Reinhold and Eddie Murphy. 15:22 that’s his actual daughter arresting him. Later in the movie when he gets tased in a setup by Kevin Bacon’s character it’s by her husband. 16:06 they focused too much on the theme park 18:41 cause he’s a greasy weasel. 20:22 I’d want to teach my daughter how to get out of handcuffs and different dangerous situations for her protection. 22:42 I wish they would’ve talked about who her mom was. At her age she should’ve been a baby around the third movie.
20:45 I saw Jupiter Ascending. I didn’t want to. 127 min I’ll never get back.
@@DJBell1986 yeah I didn't get it at first I took a couple of watches for me to like it
I gave it chance too lol only got 30 of my minutes and I was done
It's crazy. Eddie Murphy and Judge Reinhold still carry themselves the same with age, but damn. Paul Reiser and John Ashton, ar, old! I hate to joke about it, but it's striking the contrast.
Rest in peace to John Ashton 🪽I’m so glad he got to make it to the fourth movie
This was a good sequel next to the original from 40 years ago it took them 30 years to release another sequel after the disappointing third film which was released in 1994.
Awesome reaction of my favorite Beverly Hills Cop movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Yes .Jeffrey was in the first two films. I don't think he was in the third though. He's only in the opening of the original film but has a larger role in the second.
Paul riser was in the first two films
Hello Mr. & Mrs. Movies!😊 Lorne Balf, a very popular film composer was chosen for the film. He reuses the Harold Faltermeier music from the previous films. Eddie Murphy does look half his age of 63!🤯Although, you can tell he is moving slower here. "Jupiter Ascending" is a masterpiece, Mr. Movies!🤣🤣 Great reactions to Beverly Hills Cop 4, Guys!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The next film is already underway!😉
Nice reaction. I enjoyed the fourth movie. A lot of people don't like the third one, but I do. I love all the movies, so I don't really care all that much what people say about it. And while it's sad that Harold Faltermeyer didn't return for Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, the new score by Lorne Balfe did a good job bringing back his themes from the first two films.
Paul Reiser was in the movie remember his character was Jeffery he was the one in this move that was retiring to take the heat off of Axel, the one that called his grandchild a social path...That's Paul Reiser...
"Heat is on" OH yea we back!
I watched this day 1
Took a week off from work for the 4th.
Don't forget Shakedown.
I was more of a 48 Hours guy. We need a trilogy for that franchise before Nolte or Murphy kicks the bucket!
Just wanted to mention Lorne Balfe, who did the soundtrack this time. Think he really nailed it. I was so worried when the trailer had this ‘modernized’ version, but as soon as his name popped up in the opening credits and ‘The heat is on’ started, I knew: we’re safe. Very much liked this one.
RIP John Ashton.
Epic. As a fan of the originals, this one is a welcome addition.
If you havent seen it, do it for the channel "dolemite is my name" one of these more new Eddie movies. It was pretty dang funny imo.
Apparently they said Happy Gilmore 2 is shooting around that same area so they asked if they could use Mr Mcdonald for that part. Idk if true but that's what ive seen somewhere else.
The chase scenes are always great and very original in these movies, but this one had a 3-wheel parking meter cart chased by bad guys on foot, a helicopter piloted horribly chased by cars and a Snowplow chasing ATV's. Me and my wife felt the same as you guys, really liked it.
Harold Faltermeyer did music in Top Gun Maverick too!
As well as Lorne Balfe. Who is the credited composer for BHC: Axel F.
It's not the first time Kevin played a dirty cop. He also played a dirty cop in RIPD, which I really like. a lot
i shoulda known something was off about him when i saw that he went into a drug bust without a damn vest. HE WAS ALREADY DEAD AND NOTHING ON EARTH COULD KILL'EM! (note i said "nothing on earth" 😏)
His filmography is full of bad cop roles, they lean into that here. 🙂
@@Dimultica "Bad Cops and Assholes". (like i'm watching an episode of "Shoplyfters". 😉)
Also a dirty cop in Wild Things with Neve Campbell and Denise Richards.
How many actors can return to a forty year franchise and still look recognizable.
Eddie and the cast of Cobras Kai are all that really come to mind. Stallone too, which is amazing.
Definitely should check out Dolemite is my name for more Eddie
hey... guys... WITH HIM DEAD, THE SD CARD IS IN THE WIND! they need to find it and make sure it's destroyed, not just out there lost.
Full gas tank is the safest because there is less air to burn.
also, BHC1 was revenge for thugs killing one of his best friends before he became a cop.
BHC2 was because of an attempt on the life of that Chief Bogomil guy from the first film
BHC3 is because the bad guys killed his captain or whatever rank Inspector Todd was.
I actually liked 3 but I think Brigitte Nielsen probably is one reason why it didn't have good critical reviews.
@@jbjacobs9514 and do you think that SHE's Janie's mother? (cuz who did Axel hook up with between the third movie and now?)
@@DonEBrooke32 Oy vey that would be some hookup, but he only mentions her mother as being worse than the 12th Street Mafia, so it could be. LOL
@@jbjacobs9514 🤣
The henchman who gets sprayed by the fire extinguisher is played by Mark Pellegrino, who's also in Lethal Weapon 3, Lost, Supernatural and Far Cry 5
They should do this like 10 years earlier.
After the day i’ve had this nearly saved my day! Love you guys ❤
Mrs. Movies doesn’t look like she’s in her 40s. She looks like she’s 25. Don’t be so hard yourself Mrs. Movies the YouMes love you very much!
The Golden Child is a fun Eddie Murphy movie 😅
You have to watch my name is dolomite it's eddie at the top of his game
Dude your 40 omg you look amazing I’m 40 next year, I demand to know you why, my hubby looks the same when bloody meet him when we was 21 sooo not fair
You need to watch Tarsem Singh's "The Fall" starring Lee Pace from 2006. It's amazing journey!
Thought this movie was great. Had everything, nostalgia, comedy, action. I hope they do another, and have Axel and Bobby team up again. I thought they were good together and the banter between them was great.
Great Reactions Everyone 😊
Good sequel got back to the tone of the first two movies
@Jsspres his name was reggie hammond in 48 hours, richard james is an alias he used while visiting the gun club and in the second bhc.
They've really got to get better scripts for these reboots. Nostalgia can only go so far.
This one was definitely a return to form. For some reason Taggart or John Ashton back in the 80’s kind of looked like Louis CK to me now:) 😂
I'm from LA and even I know that dirt bikes and four wheelers are just a cultural thing in Philly. Maybe in Detroit too?
Yall notice Jacob from LOST was Beck
Fun movie but nothing will ever live up to the original just like the OT Star Wars and subsequent SW movies. Loved seeing Axel, Billy, and Taggert trio back together again. Bacon was a good casting but his character was very one-dimensional. Jason Gordon's was much more interesting and nuanced. Even though the movie wasn't as good as the original it was much better than the third. Don't remember enough about the 2nd to rank against it either way.
I actually saw the second one first, and then the first one after that. Then the third one just did not register with me. Number 2 is definitely my favourite.
Even Eddie Murphy has said he hates the 3rd movie too😂😂The 3rd is well.....not great ❤❤❤😂😂
You must watch abigail ,it's brilliant xxx
I liked it. Can’t help but think the onion line in the club was a nod to Shrek.
Gilbert Roland Hill (the original chief of police) was an actual Detroit police officer and quite corrupt. He was also a politician and actor (obviously).
Gil acted *only* in BHC
Is that a heavyweights shirt my guy? ❤️ 💙 💜 💖
Que bien volver a ver a Bronson Pinchot como Serge. Aunque yo lo recuerdi más de la serie beautiful strangers, que hizo con Mark lynn baker. Parece Owen Wilson pero viejito aquí
Honestly i would've seen this movie in the theaters. It was that good to me
Eddie Murphy Is The Best 💯 Period
Kevin Bacon + R.I.P.D. = dirty cop
Just fyi a full gas tank is less likely to explode. Explosions happen from the vapors in gasolines case which then can cause the rest of the liquid gas to combust.
keep the good work guyz love you both !!!
45:34 Blood splatter by Adobe After Effects.
yeah i loved seeing this and the old characters
Is that shirt your wearing from the movie heavyweights
are you going to watch any series? 😊❤
1998 Wild Things . Kevin Bacon a dirty Cop? you decide.
He isn't even clean when he gets out of the shower. ;-)
Paul was definitely in 1and 2.
It's not Netflix and chill anymore, now it's Hulu and hawk tuah. 😅
I thought it was overall a great action movie, but it definitely had the most curse words of any of them. My favorite part was really the last 30 mins with the big shootout.
The most curse words? I'm gonna have to count now, I'd say the second one has the most.
Kevin Bacon played a bad cop in R.I.P.D.
This was more like Beverly Hills Cop meets The Walking Dead... I hope they do 10 more movies and they all keep coming back!!! Also, Mrs Movies looks barely legal, the Oil Of Olay is working, fo sho.
Fun fact: there really was a “Negro” Hockey League in Canada that existed from 1895-1930’s. Except it was called the “Colored” Hockey League and it predated the NHL by 20 years.
In my best Axel Foley voice "Get the F out of here!" 😂
@@commsense1979No he can nots because its true...😂
@@pmontyjaaaymes488 Wow, learn something new every day! And here I thought it was just a play on the Negro Leagues baseball league that ran parallel to Major League Baseball.
“All rise for the honorable Judge Reinhold.”
Please watch Clerks: The Animated Series
I get they wanted to get Paul Reiser in here but, like in 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire', they put a character in a place they logically shouldn't be. After his screw up at the EPA why would anyone vote for Walter Peck as mayor? Not to mention he's simply an unlikeable guy that would never be able to convince people to vote for him. Same with Jeffrey. In what world does this guy ever climb to that position? They just needed someone at the top to back Axel up at the right time and there weren't any other characters that we knew back in Detroit. It feels a little lazy when the rest of the movie is mostly solid. Although, can a cop retire then just come back and be promoted like with Taggart?
The only person that was really missing from this one was the Jenny Summers character...I don't know if she's still alive...
paul reiser was in the first two movies.... this is not my locker
"Ring. Come on come on come on." *Hides under the desk with the receiver to his ear.
I was wondering if you guys are going to watch the Walt Disney classic the Rescuers (1977) and it's sequel Rescuers down under (1990) in honor of Bob Newhart's memory
You may know Serge as Serge but I know Serge as Balky from Perfect Strangers and I watched him every Wednesday so there......?
you know what it says about Mrs.Movie; she likes them old (LOL)
1:25 Average life span in the USA for a man is 77. So Mr. Movies is half way through. By those numbers I’ve only got 30 years left. Jesus, where does the time go. The older I get the faster time seems to go. 😢
Must do down and out in Beverley Hills. And stake out. And 48 hours and count Blackula. 😊
I am so glad you loved it. There were a lot of YT reactors that have trashed it (mostly for stupid reasons), and I thoroughly enjoyed it (more than I thought I would, actually). I could have done without the daughter, but this was such a wonderful trip down memory lane. RIP Glenn Frey and his smooth Heat is On vocals...Loved all the cameos (yes, too, that was Christopher McDonald in the golf scene) and Joseph Gordon Levitt had such a refreshing turn, too as Abbott. I hope his career gets back on track.
Everyone has trashed it for a reason. Congrats on your shit taste
@@GeorgeTropicana Congratulations on being an a-hole. You're doing a bang up job of it.

If you want to watch a movie with a great ATV chase scene, watch Cradle To The Grave.
Eddie Murphy and Will Smith doesn't change over time.I was watching them in my childhood in nineties and now I'm almost 40 and they didn't change
Speaking of those two, even though Martin has definitely age and had some health issues it's cool to see all 3 doing well. It's also crazy Martin and Eddie kids are engaged.
Pt 5 has been greenlit
One of the female cops that arrested him is his actual daughter.
I've seen Jupiter Ascending. And it was OK. not great... This one, on the other hand, MUCH better than expected.
You should watch RIPD
I'm really disappointed that Axle Foley's brother Cactus Jack Mick Foley is not in this movie
If you want to laugh watch "Delirious and Raw"
Mrs. movies is wise!!! Children do turn into adults.
Fun film!
Check the fletch movies. I like the newest one Confess, Fletch with Jon Hamm. The first one is still the best.
i get it's part of his charm, but Axel has always been too hotheaded, since the FIRST movie. (there's time where, if it were me, i would've kept my cool.) the scene with the bad guy in the third film? he didn't have to beat him up at that Award Ceremony over him insulting Inspector Todd.
I heard a lot got cut out of this movie!
