There is almost 24 hours of VShojo streaming now. Michi and Kuro really covered the Asian time zones.
Henya usually ends early for her time zone and KSon streams later.

Honestly this reminds me of the whole Hololive vs Nijisanji debate. Hololive has a much smaller talent base which curates a much stronger audience with each member while Nijisanji has so many talents that it will hit almost any niche. They are good and bad things to both business strategies like Geega said and Vshojo being very slow to expand has honestly worked in their favor in reputation.

Tapping to what Geega said though, Holo's staff vs Niji's staff is very different. Niji barely helps their talent (hence why they moved to Vshojo in the first place), while Holo helps more (dunno how much more, but Cali seems to appreciate the help with her music, as an example).
The staff at Vshojo does sound like the best out of all the companies tho.

This is true, however the main issue for Gunrun at this point is profitability. At the moment he probably has to rely somewhat on Angel investors for cash influxes. I think if they get about 25 talents total both EN and JP then they can have enough events per talent to generate time limited type merch, like Birthdays, Anniversaries, and Redebuts. This should be able to create the equivalent of weekly income from all talents - Remember Vshojo only makes money based on merch and corporate sponsorships. I suspect that after a few more big collabs from Hololive Vshojo will be able to get in on the act too, though nothing quite so large as the Dodgers
As a note Hololive JP branch only has 35 members (not including Regloss as technically not Hololive)- so it would be roughly equivalent for them

I despised Kurosanji even before Selen was terminated just for the sheer amount of Livers they had. For one, having that many people to look after without proper management is just asking for disaster - look at how Niji EN turned out.
Conversely, Hololive-while having their own issues as any corpo does-is still leagues ahead of Kurosanji because they focus on talent management. Phase, VShojo, and idol so far are about the only other corpos aside from Cover that focus on talent management and ensuring their vtubers are taken care of.

@@EndoftheBeginning17 That's surprises me. I knew that HoloJP was quite a small collective considering their popularity, but putting a number on it really puts the Quality VS Quantity debate into perspective when comparing to Niji.

Growing too quickly is part of what killed Roosterteeth.

I'd more say primary cause of death was mismanagement. Its now well known RT had terrible working conditions, underpaid employees, misused funds, and thats not even to get into the social issues within the company which were just as bad.
It says something when the CEO and founder of a company that is notorious for overworking and underpaying employees retired and pranced off to a foreign country at a fairly young age compared to most retirees, several years before the company finally went under. The founders and senior staff knew exactly what they were doing and where it would lead RT, but they were getting paid for it nonetheless.

I think a few new members per year like thei've been doing is an healthy amount. Not so many that thei're too many, not so few that if a someone had to leave the group it leaves who remains in troubles

How many is too many depends on the inter-dependence of each other. Like Hololive, Nijisanji, Phase Connect, and probably other agencies have "waves" and usually right after a wave of new people, only one pops off. With Vshojo Ironmouse has made a point of saying that Vshojo doesn't have "generations". Though it's pretty clear how Vshojo has worked in the past it's persued some other strategy about spreading out over time zones.
    - Veibei, was popular in EU timezone
    - KSon, Nazuna, and Henya in Japan timezone
    - Michi in Indonedia timezone
    - Original members cover EU (Froot), US/Canada (Zen, Ironmouse)
    - Later members also cover US (Geega, Matara, Haruka)
So it would not surprise me if they are looking for more EU members, Australian members, or people in Pacific time (as I believe all US members are Central or Eastern time)
As for who fits and how many. Realistically if there are enough so that there is always at least two members streaming on Twitch, then it ultimately doesn't matter how many. However the reality is if members overlap too much, then people will make difficult "who to watch" choices favoring who they like more.

To address one of the chatters, OTV does have the anime girl market too. Several of them have their own vtuber models, though Lily and Scarra are the ones who use them the most. And they have a mascot character called Hina.

Timezones don’t mean anything to a Zen fan. Get you an oshi who streams 16 hours a day and hits every timezone.
Nah but seriously I genuinely love the way VShojo slowly expands. Really gives you time to get the know the newest talents and for them to really settle in with their fanbase. Reminds me of HoloStars and how they debut new waves at least 6 months after the last.

I agree about the JP thing. Right now JP is pretty much just Kson as Henya rarely has any JP streams anymore. The JP staff is underutilized and growth in that sector is needed to justify the cost.

I think it can be good and bad. Sure you might not be able to get to know every one at a regular pace but getting to have more fun interactions with new people is awesome.
Plus means more people to troll 😈

@@isoinisolation1795 Yes it's just a joke lol. It's a common thing there. Normally the person doesn't even get banned, and if they do, it's probably just like a few seconds timeout. It depends on the chat. It's all for the bit, and everyone's just having fun. No one's actually getting perma banned lmao

It is very presumptuous to think that you vshojo can share the same table with hololive and nijisanji.
