How an NBA Star Nobody Wanted Destroyed Everyone

  • Isaiah Thomas, the last pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, a player who was traded by first two teams for seemingly no reason, eventually became a Top 5 Player in the whole NBA for the Boston Celtics in the 2016/17 season.
    Despite standing at 5'9" and being so overlooked throughout his whole life, Isaiah Thomas proved everyone wrong, only, to once again, not be wanted at the peak of his career.
    Join me as we dive into his incredible life story!

    I’ve been a doctor for 30 years and diagnosed many labrum tears over the years. With many patients it all depends on the the situation, it depends on everything, if you give a hip or shoulder pain a few weeks to get better or get an MRI. There are insurance companies that won’t even pay for a MRI in some patients until they get physical therapy first. In Isiah case he is a professional athlete with millions of dollars on the line and I would probably order an MRI if he wasn’t better in just a few days. If they treated him as just a soft tissue injury and did physical therapy on him they should have known that if he wasn’t getting better he needed an MRI. But what I’m saying is because of what he does for a living he probably should have had the MRI almost immediately.

He might have caused more damage playing on it but once those labrums tear they don’t heal well and the damage is done. My guess is it probably did cause more damage. Regardless his hip was never going to be the same.

    Kinda weird hearing "Legendary" Isaiah Thomas, considering the Original Isiah Thomas is actually legendary. Yeah the names are spelled different but pronounced the same so it kinda sounds weird.
    it definitely is a damn shame the Celtics ruined and robbed him. he could have become "Legendary" in his own right.
    Imagine having an MVP season, hurting yourself being over used In the playoffs, losing a max contract on a contract year and the people who caused the mistreatment of the injury are like "seeya later, sry bout that MVP worthy season, kick rocks"

      @kevincastro8617 nah. Show me another player that averages over 25 and gets LEAGUE MVP and still can't find a team. Show me ONE. I will wait. Lmao his defense was a giant liability. And his size in general. He wasn't blocking the passing lanes and always able to block the ball handlers vision with his shadowing hand. Those matter a whole lot even tho they don't show up on the stat line.

    • @kevincastro8617
      @kevincastro8617 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@beensavage390 what are you yappin about? He didn’t win league mvp. Unless you meant mvp votes. But obviously after the injury, he wasn’t the same player and couldn’t make it on a roster. But at his peak on Boston, he definitely would’ve been signed by many teams if he was available. I don’t disagree with you that defense is so important and doesn’t show up on the stat sheet. But saying that IT at his peak was “less than average” because of his defense is just plain incorrect. The Celtics made an ECF with him and they wouldn’t have made it that far without his contributions on offense. That means he’s a net POSITIVE player, even with his shortcomings on defense. If you watched his games, you’d see that he was carrying the Boston offense. If you’re arguing after the injury he was less than average, then yeah I agree. But before the injury, he was definitely an all star and deserving of MVP votes

      @kevincastro8617 nope. You can still make it to a finals even if one of your players puts up great offensive numbers but is a liability on defense. As evidenced by....well, by that exact team. Lmao

    I dunno what they shit on Boston for doing.. they gave him a deal when other teams threw him around.. in fact even trading him to a championship team. Yes he gave everything but based on the video, the Celtics org gave him the best possible outcome which other teams did not.

    Yeah and he reminded us every chance he got which got really old really quick. He exceeded expectations and that’s awesome but in the end he was just a flash in the pan who didn’t win a ship anyway. Whole thing got milked way too hard for way too long
