That yellow symbol really does pop though
The bat-symbol not being the right one really bothers me haha and I'm not usually that concerned with these details. But TDKReturns holds that special place...

Totally agree. I also think the logo from DKR is one of the best bat symbols.
All the combinations in 7:11. The grey/blue with yellow batsimbol (which is what DC requested Frank Miller to use) changes through the story to the black/grey with no logo. I don't think this particular variant is in the original comic, but it is nice from Medicom to solicit it. I particularly like it, and I would have bought it if it wasn't for the price increase that comes from having the horse statue.

When I read the story I really thought he did die in the end but nope, You can't freakin kill Batman because he is so badass and this figure from the TDKR comic looks cool especially with those head sculpts along with the horse base, Fantastic review on this MAFEX Batman figure.

I order one with the big black bat emblet and I order this one.
The one with the black bat-emblet will be on the horse and the one with the black and yellow emblet will stand/pose on his own. I wonder if you can swap the capes between those figures though🤔
I’m very happy that I got this set. Yes, the symbol should not be on the black and grey suit, but it still looks awesome. It definitely pops! I suck at posing figures, though, so I love that you include dynamic poses at the end of your videos. It’s definitely inspiring. 😊
The horse being a statue is weak imo. Mafex could’ve made the price a little higher and made the horse articulated.

Alas, i already have another version of this figure for a much cheaper price. I'd consider picking this up though if it gets discounted somewhere
I think it makes sense to make the horse a statue, since that's the iconic pose, and it means collectors don't have to worry about it being wobbly or having weak joints. I get why they used the "wrong" symbol, because they already released that one. But for those who already have the black suit or one of the blue suits, they could have included more accessories, like a new head sculpt. I suppose most people will prefer the new cape to the original black version so that is something.
Symbol is correct, and agreed on the horse. Built the Mcfarlane one and out of nowhere the leg loosened. Can barely get it to stand now.

I think Mafex release this set assuming those picking it up already had the first DKR Batman they released a while back.
The cost to ship the big box and the weight killed this for me. It cost more to post it than it was to buy it at Amiami! Happy with all the others I have of this figure!

They need to make the bat emblem hotswappable because he used 2 emblems when wearing his black outfit, but used a different one without the yellow when riding the horse
Wasn’t really interested in this figure prior to release, but now I’m thinking about getting it after seeing all the reviews. I might consider getting just the horse if I could find it as I already have the other version. Anyways great review love the channel!!
Im sure you should be able to use those harness grabbing hands to use the cape aswell. I don’t own him but seems like something that could work

Probably not, but it isn't difficult to pop it off. It's a bit of glue and a plug in the front.
I don't think MAFEX hit the mark with their TDKR line. Tbh I don't remember Batman wearing this suit in the story. He wore the blue one with the yellow oval and then switched to the black/grey after his suit got messed up during the first battle with the mutan leader. There was no black suit with yellow oval, it only seemed black on some panels because of the color palette of the wasteland.
No, this is accurate. He wore the black and grey outfit with the yellow oval logo in the first half of the second issue, The Dark Knight Triumphant. It's most noticeable in his first fight with the Mutant Leader.

You can see at the beginning of the issue he wears the blue suit with the yellow oval and visits the politician selling guns to the mutants, after that he goes to fight the mutant leader in the Batmobile and those are the panels were the suit appears black. But when he gets back to the bat cave and discards the suit to meet the “bat demon” you can clearly see it was the blue suit. He never wore a black and grey suit with a yellow oval.
@@DanielLopez-rk7jrYou're right, the suit was blue. But this figure is meant to look like it did when he jumped out of the battank to fight mutant leader. Mafex needs to release a Mutant Leader figure next, to recreate that scene. All i have is the one Mezco released a while back.
