    If you're looking to build bigger arms, this EZ Bar Arm Workout is for you! Coach Chris Wilson at the Critical Bench Compound shares 7 of his favorite arm exercises using an EZ bar.
    An EZ bar is also known as a cambered bar. It's simply a short, curved barbell that can feel more comfortable on the wrists and forearms during many arm exercises. If you only have a standard straight barbell, no problem. You can still do all of these exercises, you just don't have the subtle changes in arm position that the EZ bar allows.
    If you do these 7 EZ bar arm exercises frequently, like 3-4 times per week, you will absolutely see noticeable changes in arm growth. The key comes to hitting the arm muscles often with moderate loads working in typically mid to higher rep ranges, like 8-12 reps.
    This hypertrophy zone is what gives the arms that PUMP. The pump is caused from blood flow to the area you're targeting so the more frequently you're delivering intense workouts to the arms, they have no choice but to respond and grow bigger :)
    EZ Bar Arm Workout Biceps, Triceps & Forearms (7 Exercises)
    Wide Grip Curl
    Reverse Grip Curl
    Close Grip Curl
    Overhead Arm Extension
    Skull Crushers (Arm Extension)
    Close Grip Press
    *BONUS MOVE - Barbell Turns
    Perform anywhere from 2-3 sets per exercise with limited rest between sets. The arms don't require the longer rest periods like large muscle groups do. Maximize the pump with shorter rest periods and use supersets or giant sets (more than 2-3 exercises) to move through the exercises with limited rest breaks.

    The great thing about the EZ curl is its short length and the vertical twist and/or hold is a great addition. It is great for quick sets.
    The only thing I have noticed is that it doesn't fully activate your biceps on a curl like a straight bar or dumbbells do and a lot of over use can create Tennis elbow/tendonitis.
    But pump on.

    should i lower my weight to wear i can rep all of these exercises fully? or keep doing progressive overloading

    • @gldn3123
      @gldn3123 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      where*

    • @Criticalbench
      @Criticalbench  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This depends on goals. Raw strength requires progressive overload. Muscle building (hypertrophy) requires to rep out fully.
