Because The UK is an artificial Country
Dear DW, There usually is no GB team, due to extra confusion as to who is whom? --------- Certain parts of Ireland are a part of GB, and not the UK, and vice versa,
let alone much of the world's areas having links to GB -- would include half of the world in this passport-diversity era.
GB is conssit three countries.nothern Ireland isn't part of great Britain
I'm a hard core unionist, so every football match that includes a British nation should represent the United Kingdom as a whole
edy dj It’s looking so much more likely that Scotland will leave the union in the next ten years, hopefully Wales follow suit afterwards, there has certainly been a surge in support for Welsh independence here over the last few years, still got a long way to go but on the right track.
Why can't the UK be a "voluntary union" where the 4 can Co-exist with each other and not force silly single nation teams on them
i have a feeling the Scottish team will bump up a few ranks with this
Nah, why would the Scottish FA want to give up the chance to play internationally?
Scotland would be playing internationally, as part of Great Britain.
@@izdatsumcp it’s like he said, it’s most likely that Scottish player more often than not wouldn’t make the team.
@@DSQueenie Some would.
@@izdatsumcp Scotland is a nation with a strong sense of national identity. We do not want our football team swallowed up by a larger nation. How would you like it every European nation including Great Britain, had to play as one European side? Scotland would be devastated if we lost our national side. And why should we swap having 11 international in each game for none. To support another nation. Why should we give up our nation?
becouse they british, same pasport as england wales and northern ireland
Yeah, one of the biggest what if.. same can be applied on what if Yugoslavia never have a conflict and never breakup ! C'mon made great britain great. GB should learn a lesson from Yugoslavia. Leave the conflict behind and rebuild the team as long as England, Ireland, Wales & Scotland are still a part of UK
I think what if the FIFA force a selection british can take the end the UK as soon as possible .
yes i love it FIFA can force british nations to have one team, heck in world affairs they are one nation
We are stronger together ❤
I mean if y'all want to win anything then you'll join together. Lol Cause you can't do it on your own. Lol
Y'all are 1 country. Not 4. Lol
If you want to get together and play regional games then you can still organize that with eachother. But internationally you should play together. Imo
00:26 :D cool video btw!
The UK is a union. With *4* countries in it. There is nothing weird about having seperate teams. If it were some place like Germany for example. Multiple teams would be a bit strange
Then the US should have 50 teams by that logic
@United Earth Republic It's not like that though is it. If you're British, which I'm assuming you're not, you would know how much of a stupid idea that is.What's your reason?
Following your logic (again), Spain should then have multiple national teams as well, as many autonomous communities are recognised as “historical nationalities” in the constitution...
Can't see why people can't comprend that we are happy to have our separate national teams, if everyone is happy with how it is don't force a single team on them ffs.
@@younanyounan5071 it's not the same thing
If I'm not mistaken there is a GB football team playing at the Olympics - if they do qualify that is. Obviously nobody does care about this tournament, so this is a little known fact.
ArmAd Spengler It only existed for London 2012, it’s dead now
@@erickpadilla9826 Wrong. A GB football team did take part in numerous tournaments of the Olympics prior to the Games in London 2012. They even won Gold medals in some of the first Games. So this team did not only exist for the particular event in 2012. See: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Britain_Olympic_football_team
no there isnt they say no to that also
It has a combined rugby leauge team not rugby union(proper rugby)
Rugby Union is combined for the Lions tour, once every 4 years (with Ireland too)
well they do have british lions in union
Yes I would like to see a uk football team 😀
No way. Scotland has a strong sense of national identity. We should have our own side rather than be swallowed by an annexed by another side,
@@invernessfan3017 you did vote against indepence tho
No one in the UK wants a UK national team tbh, it's a pie in the sky dream and its best kept that way
Only because European Union membership- The rest of The "uk" could easylily blocked any SCOTLAND attempt to Enter to The Eu....but now as Brexit show it up itself.......There aren't any menace about Scotland getting in The EU@@noobteam2558
Didn't explain anything
Celtic
Imagine Scandinavians forme a hockeyteam. Canada would have no chance.
scandinavian are different historical nations....
@@thesapphirem5469 Scotland is a different nation to England.
scandinavians different countries
@@djelalniyazi4090england,Wales,Scotland are countries too. NORTHEN IRELAND IS JUST A COLONY
GB countrys are one same passport, scandinavians different passport check it
No way. It would end up being 10 Englishmen plus one token Celt. I'm proud to watch the Welsh team play even if we rarely achieve anything, can't see that enthusiasm translating over to a UK team
The fact that Wales are so bad that they can only contribute one token player means that they'd be better off in a Great British team.
@@izdatsumcp I'd rather never qualify for anything as Wales, than be forced to see 10 Englishmen and a token celt lift a world cup as a UK team. Euro 2016 was amazing if we never equal that again I'd be satisfied
@@tomosprice8136 Why? Aren't you happy if the British Athletics team does well at the Olympics etc?
@@izdatsumcp don't care about the Olympics really, if a Welsh athlete wins something then thats great, but I don't tend to cheer for other country's (eg England, China, the USA or Spain) athletes
@@tomosprice8136 it's not another country. if you're Welsh, you are part of British. I can't believe you wouldn't feel proud or feel happy as a Brit if a British team did well
what about a British football league which is made of first leagues like English premier league and Scottish league as 1league together
No way. Scotland is a strong nation. We want our own own league with qualification for Europe. If we joined up the leagues people would think it was just a continuation of the English league. All the Scottish clubs histories would be wiped out and seen as meaningless. We want our own Scottish league with qualification to Europe., Plus Scottish teams could be doing 500 mile trips 20 times a season in a British league.
@@invernessfan3017 Brazilian teams travel much longer than that
@@Luizfelipe-g8vI support Scotland having its own League. We are a.proud country.
surprised the orangemen didn't want to join the GB team ,as always unionist when it suits them
Will grigg... really
Team GB is doing quite well in hockey and rowing in getting medals.
united teams = team sports, rivalry against own team will not win medals
Hell no! But I fucking like you boy!
Yes but only in the Olympics 🇬🇧👊
Simply no demand for it here in Wales, independent football nation cymru am byth
GOOD. The world NEEDS a strong, independent Wales...and therefore a NATIONAL team for the NATION called WALES.
hell yeah,
You guys might have a couple World cups and Euros if you played together.
It's like y'all don't want to win 🤷
I think that it not will happend because players from Scotland don't want to play with English people and everybody is proud of his nation
UK is Country, there UK passport.
Why dont there national UK football team in FIFA
Olympics does have so FIFA and UEFA should have did the same thing
Because UK is not a Country. It's a Country Made of countries, there's anything like that in The world.
yea, but only the olympics. and btw give us scots more credit. yous all seem tae hate us for some reason 😔
SLaY DaRtH moan eh scot we drew way them last time
