How much horsepower did the the Gen 1 DPs get up to? I know The cars in 2003 started with the same power as the GT class, around 460hp. They don't sound as restricted as the DPs did right before the merger; which i think they were making a little over 500hp.
Craig Stanton was always one of "those guys". Either gonna win it or crash trying. Why would you try a pass on the outside of the east horseshoe with less than an hour into the race? Especially after wrecking the car so comprehensively in qualifying.
So if the DP set a new lap record in 2004, how was Olly Jarvis able to break the 1993 lap record? Lol. Either it's revisionist history in 2004 because of the chicane change, or it's revisionist history now to ignore the revised bus stop.

Not certain. I thought the DPs were all inlet restricted to limit them to 500 hp max in the Gen 1 era, but I could be wrong.
HODIUSDUDE I think they were limited to 500 HP up until the merger
Excellent upload. What other Rolex 24s do you have?
I have most of them from 2000 on. I will UL more of them in the future as time allows.
So 2003 is coming? You have my interest.
Is this the race where Tony & Dale Jr. teamed up?
According to the commentators yes.
Yes
