WirlWind the learning curve for this game is steep but once you begin to understand the mechanics you start rolling up faster. Just keep playing, look up videos on how to increase your chances of winning, but most of all just enjoy the game!
The Fiery Paladin there's a damage penalty on dailies, I've found no proof of using a revive item incurring a point penalty, pretty sure the two hits required to die would be compensated for by literally doubling his dmg
+Bob Mijano Not just double; he was rocking lower base damage than usual, and that would have been reset to 3.5 with Dark Judas, so (at least at the time he was revived) he would have had roughly triple damage.
35:53 I believe that your 3 Dollar Bill proced the Proptosis effect (you can see how the blast becomes narrower as it goes), which heavily reduced it's damage at that range.
Hello everybody and welcome back to Daily Differences! I'm a little late this time, but here's a list of differences I found in this daily for possible paths. And boy does it get completely different lol. For example, I get excited enough to punch my own headset off. Seemed like a good idea to me! SPOILERS First Floor: Actually no differences. I'm slightly surprised. Second Floor: Again, no notable differences here. Yikes. Maybe this is pretty linear for the first few floors. I promise, it gets better! Third Floor: 10:15 - NL takes shielded tears, which I never see. 11:13 - NL rolls the third floor again 11:50 - NL gets boom 12:54 - NL takes dad's lost coin 12:58 - NL takes judas's shadow 13:22 - NL takes rune bag Fourth Floor: I'd like to say... Even though NL rerolled last floor and I didn't, we still wound up with the same floor layout. I think it's interesting that that drastic of a difference wouldn't affect anything. 16:18 - NL sucks up yum heart 19:24 - NL takes ghost baby. I believe I reroll this item. 20:00 - NL does not get a deal with the devil. I used a joker card to get flight here. 20:14 - This is where everything goes crazy. NL goes down to the next floor to chase boss rush. I actually stay on this floor and play the self sacrifice room. Everything here on out is completely different. I've also collected a few items NL did not on this floor. Sack Head Lord of the Pit Battery Baby Bob's Curse instead of Ghost Baby My regret is that I didn't explore more. Had I done that instead of rushing harder, I would l have ranked significantly higher than I did. That and not trying to die, but that's beside the point lol. Is it just me or does this guy REALLY undervalue and underuse Judas's shadow? When I play I almost immediately use it if there's at least an extra spirit heart on the floor
to me damage was there you had judas shadow, mega satan laser, bomb synergy with bob's brain and bandages for staionary targets as well i don't see that complaint here today the only thing i see being a complaint is that getting the damage out is skillful not just run of the mill point and shoot

Generally avoid Reddit till after the run, like to go in blind and just see how well I can do without effectively cheating. But if this level of dailies keeps up I may just have to start checking first to see if it won't be another hour of sighing and running into the less than great design elements of the game. >_
SarahMariePardy has he got all the achievements from dailies? cause if he does, I fully expect him to stop them at some point, like he did in rebirth (or was it afterbirth, cant remember)

yaksher His technical skills blow me away, but his decision making is often laughably bad. Mostly because I know he's got the experience and the intellectual capacity to make the right decisions. Maybe being on the spot because he's a public figure puts pressure on him which causes him to make poor decisions sometimes, but I would kind of expect him to have overcome that by now.
Mechanically, he's great, especially when he focuses, but the decisions he makes sometimes on the fly are often questionable... Honestly, this makes him fairly entertaining, as even with poor decisions he often manages just fine.
+Brick Studios, Yes I understand that he made many mistakes (he couldn't have known there would be Mama Mega, so doing the 5 room again was probably a bad choice though), but he also near-consistently scores incredibly well and near-consistently wins his runs, something most of the people criticizing him can't do, especially while having to entertain an audience. Yes he should have died for Dark Judas, yes this, yes that, whatever, he did still score in top 150 people.
The whole "PG NL" thing is really killing this for me, I watch every day and seeing the content from 3 years ago compared to now is so disheartening. I love the content, but the old stuff was so much better, in part due to the unapologetic savagery.

I never said it was - and I don't care how good he is at the game. I said it seems like he's not enjoying himself anymore. Look back over his last 20 or so videos - he's usually complaining about it unless it's super OP. I'm not surprised - after so many runs I'd be bored of it as well, but the problem is that if he's complaining about the game he's playing then for me at least he's not being entertaining. And like you pointed out, that's the reason lots of people watch him. NL's a big boy and can take this as the constructive criticism it's meant to be. He doesn't need you to jump in and defend him. Of course the problem he has is that he's KNOWN for playing Isaac and couldn't really stop without taking a big hit to his audience and therefore income. Think about that for a second - he might be playing a game he's bored of because he feels he HAS to. That's a shitty situation to be in. My initial post was meant to be encouraging - as long as he's entertaining I'll watch him regardless of what he's playing. I watch for the entertainment, not for the Issac plays. But that goes the other way too - if he stops being entertaining, even if he starts getting #1 in all his dailies then I'll move on.
