It looks very similar to cad 2016. For learning purpose I think cad 2007 is better because it force you learn the commands. Nice tutorial video btw.

So..?Crazy question...When I want to put "Limits" on.I type "limits", press Enter, then I put 0,0 Enter Then I put 17,11 Enter...::::::::My "Grid/Screen" should shrink to scale? Correct?::::::::If not?What did I do wrong?Or?Did I miss a set Before or After?

why when I try to draw a line and lets say I type 30 it graphs in on my graph 30 and its supper small but when you draw you get regular numbers for the line length If I want to draw a line 30m long I need to put in huge numbers as graph points hope you understand the question im kind of new to this and its really annoying me. eg.when you type 7 you get a 7 unit line when I type 7 it goes to the point on the graph 7thanks

flatshot didn't work in autocad 2017. what might be the cause? It didn't work in autocad 2015 too. How to get it to work?
+beenay18 actually I found out the problem. But unfortunately haven't yet found the solution. Autocad 2015 and 2017 seems to give error message- the flatshot operation did not generate any geometry when there are non uniformly scaled blocks in the view. But they work fine with the normal objects. But autocad 2014 work even with the non uniformly scaled blocks. I wish I can do that with autocad 2015 and 2017 too.

With autocad i cannot find r14dxf files. I am using sheetcam to gen g code for my plasma table. Is there a way to enable the r14dxf? or is the binary dxf file autocad has the same as the r14?

AutoCAD can't be considered 'cheap', unless you want to use it for educational purposes (which excludes professional or business environment).

As the name says, AutoCAD architecture is more focused in architecture design, especially talking about the models, the tools and the extras. Then, the basic features are the same between the two.

this video is good but if you're a blank slate, meaning you know zero about CAD drawing, you are moving waayyyyyyyy too fast.
Indeed more than 400 people liked that. Probably because it is for beginners that still do not know about CAD drawing? :)
True but it has over 150,000 views. To me this was useful because I have Alphacam experience.. but even I had to slow down because in my opinion the video starts ahead of a true beginner. After reading more about AutoCad in a text book then coming back to this, it was a little more useful.

As an (almost new) beginner, I found the content of this video seemingly good, but the narrator progresses wayyyy too quickly over the amount of details revealed. A much slower pace would be much better suited for a true beginner, imo.
