    BEST👏NAIL👏TRIMMING 👏VIDEO👏EVER.👏Your instructions changed my life (and my dogs!) My boy sleeps through his nail trims now, and he used to run and growl when he saw me take out the nail trimmers. You are the best Suzanne! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

    Thanks for posting. I love my boy and since I've retired I can't really afford the vet's $50 office fee and then $40 for a nail trim. So I bought the nail trimming tools. Thanks again.

    I really needed this video. Phenomenal visuals I don't see on this level. I am not nerve about trimming nails, but I do have a better method of doing so by watching your video. Once a week for me. Every Saturday!

    My Shetland Sheepdog had black nails. I only used a clipper. (No grinder) After each small clip, I would look at the cut end of the nail. The inside of the nail is white, and you can see that the quick is getting close by a greyish dot in the middle of the cut nail. My motto was "when you see the dot, it's time to stop", so you don't hit the quick. My Sheltie didn't like watching his nails being cut, so when I did it I had him lay on his side on the floor.

    I appreciate the illustrations of the inside of the nail, toes and foot. Very good video.

    I've had great results with a larger set of clippers for my chihuahuas and york-chi.
    I did get a decent pair though and then dissasemble them. Then i sharpened, sanded, and polished the blades. Haven't tried doing the same to a aller pair yet. Haven't found a small pair I like that much yet.

    Superb nail clipping video. Can't understand why no-one else has included all the vital information you have provided. Thank you so much. I think I'm going to take our dogs to see a professional, because they're both such scaredy-dogs - and consequently, their nails are far too long.

    GSDG is so right I got an cheap set of clippers & disassembled them I then ground down the cutting face just above the pivot to a thickness of 1.5 mm for each blade I reshaped the scallop out area making it larger & thinner this makes the blade cut all the way through before the scallop area starts forcing the nail apart I heat treated, sharpened & polished them these things cut any size dogs nails like a scalpel why there not made like this In the first place is puzzling I'm making myself another set until the person that borrowed mine last ones returns them this is why I dont lend my tools anymore age is catching up and I can never remember who borrowed what these days

    So the theory is that the quick never passes the notch? (th-cam.com/video/XRiWPHg-9LU/w-d-xo.html)

    • @grandestyledoggrooming
      @grandestyledoggrooming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a theory. But many times we see dogs with extra long Quick. No matter how careful you are about it, you can still have issues,

      @@grandestyledoggrooming Thanks. Already thought that that theory doesn't work for our Dachshunds
