    Thanks for this. One of the better videos on this subject.
    Touch Portal has a few issues however. The On Press is really an On Release.
    In your example where you press one button (A) and the text in another button (B) changes, the change only happens when you release the button (A).
    This makes using On Hold worthless, as the change in button (B) only happens when you release button (A). So say for turning a dial or moving a slider, this doesn't work.
    They need to either make On Press happen when the button goes down and add an On Release, or add additional command to On Hold to modify Custom States etc.
    For just simple quick presses it's fine, but they have quite a way to go to get the bugs out.
    Thanks for the vid!!

      @NowLetUsPlay  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it would really open up a lot of options if they had on press, on hold (set hold threshold say 2 sec) then on release

    This is exactly the kind of information that I NEEDED! Nothing else I've watched has mentioned customizing the state changes, and I knew there must have been a way to do this without creating multiple pages!! Now I'm about to go see if you've done any similar tutorials on how to do this to switch between camera angles in OBS

    Hi, first of all an absolutely great tutorial.
    I'm trying to do the same thing with just the stream - recording and sounds/clips. Unfortunately, that doesn't work for me at all. I take my buttons and add them like you did, but it only works with sound files? I want to put all the buttons I need for streaming into Stream and everything for recording into Recording. But unfortunately it is not feasible for me, even though I have taken over the buttons from my original buttons.

    Hi thank you for this tutorial. I'm able to do it because of this. However I just have some questions and hopefully you can help me.
    For example I have 2 buttons that will play 2 different music at the same time and I need one button to stop only one music out of those 2 musics that are currently playing. Since on your tutorial we selected stop all audio. I'm trying to figure out on how to stop specific music I played/triggered.
    Second is. On my 1st page I have mute/unmute button for my mic and also on the second page I also have this. Now my issue is when I click mute on the 1st page the 2nd page mute button is not updating on the current state of the mic. So it resulting for me to look on the OBS screen to double check if my mic is muted or not or press the mute buttton 3 times up to my needed state,
    Sorry for my english :)
    Again you are so helpful to me! More tutorial please! I'm planning to buy pro version of this app because of you! :)

    • @NowLetUsPlay
      @NowLetUsPlay  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've been thinking about this and I haven't figured out a way to stop specific music. What you could do is put stop all audio as the first step on each button. That would stop any previously playing audio when you hit the second button.
      For the mute button, since you have it on both pages you'd need to link the status of the two buttons. You can either do this with a custom state for your mic being muted or under logic use "when button state changes" and inside this use set button state (this is for the button you pressed) and add Change Button state by ID. This will allow you to update the other button at the same time. You can find the individual button IDs on the bottom so the button settings panel. Hope this helps

    • @NowLetUsPlay
      @NowLetUsPlay  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm assuming you are trying to send the sound to your voice chat. In order to do that you need something like voicemeter to mix your mic and touchportal audio together.

  • @elec1
    @elec1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Any idea how to change the output device for the sounds in touch portal? I use VoiceMeter and i can change the ouput device to VAIO3 in windows sound settings, but then there is no playback anymore. other sources are working fine on VAIO3 at the same time (like foobar2000)

    • @NowLetUsPlay
      @NowLetUsPlay  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's hard to say. If you have the TouchPortal output set to VAIO3 input under App volume and device preferences I'd assume you would see it coming in voicemeter. Unless you need to restart touchportal after applying the setting. I haven't tweaked mine it's going out default, but my default is set to voicemeter VAIO

    Question though, and this may be a solution I completely overlooked. Is there a way to get the sounds played to go through mic input? Say you are in a discord group call and want it to play through to the call with other streamers. Is that possible with touch portal?

    • @NowLetUsPlay
      @NowLetUsPlay  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would do this is by using a virtual mixer like Voicemeeter and a virtual cable or Voicemeeter Banana since it has virtual outputs built in. Since Discord only takes a single input (your mic) by default you'll need to "mix" the audio from touch portal with you mic. You would then change your Discord input device to the mixed output of Voicemeeter.

    • @NowLetUsPlay
      @NowLetUsPlay  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bearpoopcoffee I've only used voicemeeter. It is a full feature mixer and I would definately reccomend it. There is a bit of a learning curve but it is very feature rich. Looking at sound pad it appears to let you send sounds to the mic output but they are all contained in soundpad. If you wanted to control playing the sounds via touchportal with soundpad you would need to assign hotkeys in soundpad and have touch portal "press" them.
