This lady is not an ordinary classical singer but a teacher of very high quality..... the more you listen to her explaining or lecture the more you realise how much more you have to learn....wow.....
She has the sweetest voice I’ve ever heard. And she’s is equally sweet in person. I got her autograph this January at one of her concerts.. such amazing person
This was more than interview. I have never seen any Indian artist express the connection between music, spirituality and philosophy in such a graceful way. This is a rare interview, very well done. Kaushiki Chakraborty is the reason I listen to Indian classical music these days. She is Devi Saraswati, the goddess of Indian music. Great job OSR. Keep it up.

OMG! She is so articulate and absolutely clear & precise! She has managed to explain the entire philosophy of India & Spirituality so effortlessly while explaining the basics of Indian Classical Music.
This is perhaps one of best interviews I have ever watched. She spoke with so passion and insight, it's simply amazing. Also kudos to OSR to let her speak and maintain that continuity. I couldn't skip a second of this 51 mins. Clip. Brilliant.
She was born into her art. Her father is Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, one of the greatest living classical singers. I have had the honour of hearing father and daughter sing together... this would have been in the early 2000s. what an evening it was!
I am speechless...I don't know what to say I'm from Pakistan I thought NFAK was end of the journey...but o my God...what a lady ..what a talent...hats off..not once not twice but. Limitless times may God../...Allah /bhagwan...bless her.....
Wow man these are the talents that are worth interviewing, never thought you would interview such great talents. Until now i only heard her voice but never saw any of her interviews. Rick and korbin you guys are doing great job. I'd suggest you should also interview kalki koechlin.
Okay but how well spoken she really is. She is so intelligent, is literally a master at music, very well spoken, has an incredible voice, is pretty and such a wise soul. All this in one being. God has his favorites and it shows.
OSR got a priceless ,deep, rare lesson on psychology and music at the same time ... ..Now respect of Indian classical music in Rick and korbin's mind would reach new great heights....kaushiki chakroborty is great singer and so down to earth person and her intelligence is off the charts...that's what is indian classical Music...more you know about it more You realise how less you know about it......I am proud of India🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
In a long long time I haven't seen anyone interview an artist with questions made of clarity and great intent of learning. Even mainstream media lacks such a quality these days. Eric and Korbin - thanks a mil
She has such an aura about her that it brings a subconscious smile when you hear her singing or speaking. You guys are building a huge and strong bridge between cultures.
She is so grounded and humble and yet has profound knowledge about music...... Hats off to OSR for doing such a wonderful interview...... It's raw and entertaining as well.....
I was fortunate to listen to her concert in Chennai. My 7-year-old daughter just loved it. It was a memorable experience when all youngsters stood and applauded her when she entered the podium. heavenly experience
Let's all take a moment and acknowledge the efforts 'our stupid reactions' family is doing to bring Indian music and culture to the world. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We Love you so much! 🙏🇮🇳♥️
She's wanting to speak, express and have a chat! there's not many who would talk with as much grace and purity the way she did. It's mostly her speaking and others just listening... Ah! a morning started right.
OKAY PEOPLE MUST ADMIT THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST INTERVIEW AND SHE IS THE MOST HEART TOUCHING HUMAN BEING OF OUR TIME. ❤❤ LOVE YOU RICK AND KORBIN FOR TAKING THIS INTERVIEW WITH KAWSHIKI MAAM
I had no idea, I would end up watching this entire 51min video.. This is insane.. Never knew Kaushiki is such a brilliant speaker. Was a fan of her music, but after the interview, I've become a fan of KAUSHIKI CHAKRABORTY. This wouldn't have been possible without, Rick and Korbin. You guys are doing unimaginable things which no one ever has. Lots of ❤
I thought it is going to be yet another interview. This was so deep.. How did I miss this video for 3 months? TH-cam algorithm is suggesting me garbage.
Interviewer: Hey Kaushiki, can you tell me about your passion for music? Kaushiki: I can do this all day 😎. She's the Captain America of music; never gonna be tired 😁
She is our National treasure..So articulate and humble, and with such command over her music.. but, we need to thank her father Pandit Ajoy Chakraborthy for training her and preserving the legacy of the Patiala Gharana for future generations..thank you to you both for this awesome interview...
She is a wonderful representative of Indian culture, philosophy, spirituality and music. She is so amazingly articulated. Her musical talent and art is beyond words. She makes our soul happy, God bless her n her music. Blessed!!!
It was not an interview. It's the lesson. She deserves to be known as the "Pandit". Needs to have certain knowledge to fully understand her deliberation. Great intellectual individual. An asset to the music arena.
What a TALENT and What a PERSON !!! She is a gift to the world. I was a Fan ,but after hearing her speak I am a die hard fan. Humbleness and Intelligence woven into one.
What an intelligent, talented, passionate, grounded, sweet and beautiful human being! Listening to her speak is enlightening and a joy! Thank you OSR for bringing to us this engrossing and brilliant interaction with Ms. Kaushiki Chakraborty!
That was one heck of an interview..you just let her talk without interfering...she was just fluid in articulating things which are very difficult to articulate..now I am a fan of her articulating skills..😃 Wow!!
True. That's not just because he is emotional. But also because he is wise. He's been totally moved by the art and the artist and he knows and is ever willing to know what he doesn't know yet. He's sensitive. He's like a student full of reverence and appreciation. And all that when he is a great artist and knowledgable person himself. That's humility. That's love. I have immense regard for Rick. Such beauty he is.
Such an intelligent artist who is able to express herself beautifully outside of her music. What a talent! There is such depth and precision in their performance compared to western musicians.
I have been away from India for 30 years...but India cannot be taken away from me. I have no musical talents other than singing in the shower, but I used to listen and watch Indian classical music on Doordarshan, almost had to force myself to do it, since I had no understanding, but just the sense that what I was hearing was the result of centuries of evolution of human artistry. Kaushikiji makes a very valid point when she says that people like Rick and Korbin being much more relatable to the present generation are doing a great service to Indians and to the world by venturing into Indian culture with the curiosity of a child, totally unknowing but discovering a hidden treasure that when shown to the world can only produce harmony and peace and love. And yes, I will be there to watch when Kaushikiji visits UCLA. Thanks a lot, all three of you.
This is her life time experience which she could express so beautifully. I thank both the Americans for allowing her to share the facts and struggle behind of becoming an artist of her calibre.
To be very honest this is not feel like an interview.. it's feel like a teacher teaching her two students about music and spirituality 😂 but in any case this is sooo awesome ❤❤
She is a perfect blend of a singer, a philopher, a teacher, a mentor, a motivator, in one word I call her "SARASWATI" who appeared physically and talking through a mic.
This is an iconic moment in the history and growth of OSR. She is a supreme musician. Thank you Rick and Korbin for patiently listening, for respecting, for allowing her to express and articulate herself so very beautifully. She is a pride of India, still so underrated for her extraordinary capabilities as a singer. Thank you so much for this.
That interview touched me deeply, wanted it to go on forever, heart became so heavy with the purity of thoughts that I just wanted to sit still for a moment and let it soak in, thank you OSR.
OMG. This was one of the best interviews. The way she talks and articulates and how accomodating she is. What an amazing human being and a woman..i love her so much🥺❤ In my wildest dreams, I would love to be one of her hand picked students. And I would practice 24 hours a day just to keep up with her level of teaching and artistry. And give it more than everything i have. 🙏🏼
This is the most amazing interview. It literally encompasses a life's lesson, for teachers, students, parents, kids, bosses, co-workers, a religious/ spiritual environment -- no matter who and where you are. I can't Thank You both for conducting this interview with Kaushiki ji and sharing with the rest of the world.
Expected to see an intervew. Got a master class by a great teacher. You know when you get emotional for no reason that the obect of that emotion is divine.Thank you.
One more thing... Thanks a lot to Korbin and Rick for conducting the interview so well. I always enjoy all the 'Our Stupid Reactions' videos, but this one was different in which both of them gave enough time to Kaushiki to elaborate her answers and get the best out of her. Best luck and appreciate.
I knew her as an incredible artist, singer, before, but this gave such a special look into her personality, I'm blown away. She is such an inspiration for ANY artist, regardless of their craft. Korbin and Rick posed wonderful questions (some, I really wanted know her views on)...waiting for more such wonderful interviews! :) ❤
Oh my god!!! I have had the divine pleasure of attending a few of her concerts and she is absolutely amazing...so humble and sweet but soooo mind blowing!!! I love her ❤️❤️❤️
This is why we are beautiful people. Music ,.love food unites us. No politics can kill it... Proud to be a Bengali and an Indian brother. U said my emotions perfectly!
This was truly a brilliant interview. I was completely involved as it was immensely intriguing...Rick was spiritually gobsmacked...Hahaha... So did I.. She was very articulating..such a beautiful soul...GodBless.. Jai Hind
A master willing to open up and two interviewers who were like a sponge. This interview was a thing of beauty - Erudite, Passionate, otherwordly..Kudos
Your Kaushik's video reaction was the reason i started following OSR. This video makes me so happy ❤️ Such a organic and deep conversation between the artist and the interviewers. Thank you for whosoever made this interview possible. You guys are making this quarantine a little bearable. Love u guys!
Very inspirational and talented ... The way she answered each question posed, is incredible... A good ambassador of Indian music.... Very knowledgeable .... Best wishes..
A divine singer. Such a pleasure to hear her. This not an interview, this is an education on Hindustani music. What depth and knowledge in her words. May you live long and healthy Kaushiki and bless us with great music.
Woohh, golden words. And the way she talks, so calm and composed. I see Saraswati in her and I'm not exaggerating. Amazingly talented, mannered, pretty and when she sits with her instrument in a saree, damn! She can be a great motivational speaker too I guess! Her and her father, Ajoy Chakraborty who is a Padma Bhushan awardee, their house is just 800m - 1km away from mine. Btw great interview, you folks interview way better than our own media houses.
WOW! What an amazing interview! What an amazing human! What an amazing student who is truly a teacher! It was like a Ted talk! You just want to listen, learn and know more. I never thought I would watch it till the end, but I did. Thank you guys for such a wonderful presentation.
Interesting to see the worlds oldest civilization interacting with the worlds newest civilization . Really appreciate your initiative to alteast initiate the interaction .. God bless you both
So intelligent are the interviewers and interviewed . It was sublime. Smt Koushiki possess such a wise head for music and articulation she sounds musical while answering . So wonderful is her voice. Lord's chosen creation .
What a great interview, I absolutely loved it! How wonderful that she was so verbose and went to different places while giving answers. She is such a teacher and a student! No words to write about her philosophical contexts.
She is so eloquent. I think it would be extremely difficult even for artistes of her caliber to explain what she did as lucidly, and succinctly with so few words.
One of the most enlightening interviews ever heard. Just looking at the longing the know more in both of you and the humbleness with which she is explaining brings tears to me seeing the joy of learning.
Damn never in my dreams i thought u guys would interview the goddess herself 😍 Woke up, opened TH-cam and boom! Sleep hangover gone! 🤣 Long way to go osr! ❤️
That was one of the most profound interviews that I have watched in my life!! My respect for you guys has grown exponentially! And my awe admiration and reverence for Kaushiki ji beyond words! What an artist, what a human being, what articulation, what knowledge and what intelligence! Thank you so much!
Just imagining how she would have been feeling by reading such amazing comments from all of you beautiful people,, butterflies in her stomach. Can't tell myself a fan but a great respect for you as you explaining the actual meaning of peace and maditation, I actually get those very few times while working something really deeply.
Wow! Normally I'll get disinterested tho hear such big answers, but she kept me glued. Such a pleasant personality. God bless you
Expected to see an intervew. Got a master class by a great teacher. You know when you get emotional for no reason that the obect of that emotion is divine.Thank you.
The best part you were listening and didn't interrupt her.
The nation loves this...
When a 51 minute interview feels only a few seconds long ... Kudos Team OSR ... and Godspeed Kaushiki Ma'am !

She is just beaming with joy and radiance.

Even her "ahhh" sound was in 'Sur'....during the conversation..
There is so much to learn in this video. I am taking notes :)
“The silence before the start is truth, purity ,prayer ...Brahm”
Wow! Blown away. I love the way she expresses her thoughts. What a deep and lovely thinker. Thank you for posting this and sharing.
A divine singer. Such a pleasure to hear her. This not an interview, this is an education on Hindustani music. What depth and knowledge in her words. May you live long and healthy Kaushiki and bless us with great music.
The way she answers to the questions itself has music in it.. wow!
One of the best interviews seen ever... Rick n Korbin you guys surely are making us learn more about our land...
WOW! What an amazing interview! What an amazing human! What an amazing student who is truly a teacher! It was like a Ted talk! You just want to listen, learn and know more. I never thought I would watch it till the end, but I did. Thank you guys for such a wonderful presentation.

This is one of the greatest interviews I've seen in my life. I wish they'd gone on for longer.
So intelligent are the interviewers and interviewed . It was sublime. Smt Koushiki possess such a wise head for music and articulation she sounds musical while answering . So wonderful is her voice. Lord's chosen creation .
I've never watched such logical and on the point Interview ever.... 😍😍😍
Had goosebumps listening to her talk about the philosophy. The silence before the first "Sa". Beautifully explained.
Thanks a lot Rick and Korbin for this interview. Really appreciate, at this time of World.
I'm in heaven!!! One of the most thought provoking, satisfying experience!!
One of the most enlightening interviews ever heard. Just looking at the longing the know more in both of you and the humbleness with which she is explaining brings tears to me seeing the joy of learning.
Damn never in my dreams i thought u guys would interview the goddess herself 😍
Woke up, opened TH-cam and boom! Sleep hangover gone! 🤣
Long way to go osr! ❤️
I’ve always enjoyed her singing, but her talks are great as well. TED talk please or some talk series. I can hear her for hours, singing or talking.

Just imagining how she would have been feeling by reading such amazing comments from all of you beautiful people,, butterflies in her stomach. Can't tell myself a fan but a great respect for you as you explaining the actual meaning of peace and maditation, I actually get those very few times while working something really deeply. I wish I could get there very often.
