Thank you so much for preparing this video. I have a 2022 limited AWD, and from the moment I bought it, I found the headlights to seem weak. It was immediately noticable to me. No joke, I finally tested driving the other night with my highbeams on with oncoming traffic. I passed countless cars on both heavily trafficked unlit two lane country road and four lane highway, and not one person flashed their highbeam back at me. One roads I drive nightly they have a lot of dear and I always worry at how short the distance of low beam is. I will look into this adjustment feature.
I did this to my wife's 2019 RAV4 LE a few months ago. I generally do this to any of my vehicles because manufacturers always aim them too low. I first noticed it in my 1998 Camry when I was living in Maine and the hilly roads affected low beam headlight distance greatly whereas I could not see a thing past 10 feet a lot of the times. I have a 2023 Rav4 hybrid and one thing I'm impressed is performance of low beam. Not super bright like luxury cars but the coverage is better. I can see more than enough. High beam, rather, is weak. But then I already installed ditch lights and light bar for that. I know this is an old video and you already bought newer model but just wanted to comment on this video.

Originally the driver side is ok. Just need the passenger side to raise more so you can see the road sign reflection 4-5 cars ahead and still see the white pavement fog line (right side) on the road ahead. (Foglights will add more light to see the side of road below the headlight beam so you can see the fog line marker on the right pavement.)

I made the leveling adjustment from your video and it helped a lot but still not bright enough. I have a LE and am starting some basic mods. Thanks for all your awesome content bro!

I just came out of my garage and the workshop manager toyota adjusted a little higher, just like you, with his measuring device. But to my taste it's still a bit too low...

How many counterclockwise turns did you make using a Philips screw or in terms of inches how high did you move it from stock position?

They’re too high, also your passenger side will be just SLIGHTLY higher than the driver side. From about 25ft there should be a straight solid line. Had to do the same on my corolla. The lights should go no higher than a sedans license plate about 10-15 away because it’ll be in peoples eyes 100+ ft away
NO one show horizontal adjustments on the 2016 era Rav 4 WHY ? I cannot find one are the stationary and allow up down only? My car must have been hit and never properly adjusted
What do you consider 1 full turn when you adjust the head light? Is it one click on the racket? Or one full turn all the way around with the 10mm bolt?

Why would you? You have OEM leds already. The whole assembly like low and high beams of those LEDs comes standard with all models RAV-4s from 2019 and later years.

The guy made a comment about not being able to avoid animals or similar on the road, all Australian Spec models have Pre-Collision Safety System which would pickup unseen objects on the road and brake the vehicle as necessary. I'm sure Toyota would build this feature into models for all markets.
This is the problem with ai. Companies aren’t using common sense when designing now and are just going off what ai thinks “low beams” means for the new design concepts. Car lighting in general is a disaster now as the bulbs are brighter than ever and even “low beams” are too bright, so to compensate they are positioning them to light only 10 feet in front of your car. This is why so many people just drive with their high beams on now even with on coming traffic.

Aside from That, I have 1 request if you happen to have a fix - The seatbelt alarm on the rav 4 is BEYOND ANNOYING! If I’m moving my car or just haven’t yet put on my seatbelt, it beeps SO LOUD and angers me SO MUCH! How can I turn this off? Thanks again!

I also changed the horns on my RAV4s to FIAMM Freeway Blasters 72102 and 72112. I've always hated RAVs having "meep-meep moped" horns.

You can try an app call carista, I think you pay 9.99 on the app to remove the sound, or go to the dealer to get it removed

I have a 2018 also and I just changed to led bulbs and the difference is night and day. Highly recommend changing them.
