I want some of those gloves! I am an 82 yr old woman with PD stage 1. I have cardiac reactions to most PD meds which limits my options. This offers so much hope. Thank you.

Thanks for putting this on. Been following the PD glove closely. Was paying particular close attention to the Q&A. Hoping and praying for the glove to become a reality and benefit everybody with PD in some way long term as we move closer towards a cure.

Can this glove be used by someone who has had DBS surgery or focused ultrasound for Parkinson's disease?

I came across several similar introduction videos with almost same content. If this therapy really works so well with little or no side effects expected then Stanford team should work for obtaining approvals on fast track and publish time lines for making it available for the PD community world over. Another device called Cue1 invented by research team in South Korea using vibration therapy has already arrived in the UK and expected to reach other countries in few months.
    Thanks

If this worked it'd be valued at 10b+. The fact that no medical startup has money to do it fast indicates to me it doesn't actually work yet.
If it worked it'd be easy to prove it to people connected to Sergey Brin or Andy Grove and throw 100m at it. Instead we're in year six or seven of a small lab iterating on it.
It's not just us in the first world it would help. There are millions of PD patients with no access to meds at all who would benefit from a few hours a week of this. A clinic there could rent it out 24h a day.

Exactly....the Fact that the Michael J fox foundation and the Davis phinney foundation and the national institute of health nor any major PD organizations have not contributed or showed any interest in this treatment is the biggest proof that these vibrating gloves are a scam.

This is updated version of the original presentation uploaded in July 2022.
Unlike the old version which contained too much and complex technology details, this video detailed results of latest clinical trials which is more relevant for average patients.
Thank you Dr. Mischel and your team for publishing this update.

My neurologist, a very prominent Parkinson's movement disorder specialist, is very skeptical about these vibrating gloves. Way too much hype, results not replicable, and too many evasive answers. Also, in my opinion, being that these gloves are non-invasive and pretty much harmless, FDA approval should have occurred long ago if they really worked.

Yes!! You are so right any new idea should be dismissed and never researched no matter the evidence. Especially if it associated with Stanford Univ. or any top ranked university. And all ideas have already been tried and evaluated therefore no reason to look into any new treattments

    • @paulnavarro9229

Ridiculous. Has your neurologist read any of the studies or scientific reviews of this technology? As with many other breakthroughs, the medical establishment will push back hard because it threatens revenues and medicine is ruled by money. Not to mention the pharmaceutical giants that will lose money when this comes out. I’ve done a LOT of reading on this topic and the science definitely backs up the claims. I would agree there is a little extra hype but that’s the way the media works. Your neurologist sounds clueless and is defensive mode.
