My Huawei GT Runner VS my Garmin Forerunner 945 comparison. I use BOTH and use them specifically for road running training and races (from 5KM to Marathon Races). I am extremely pleased with the Huawei GT Runner. Was hesitant at first as my priorities are very specific. 1) The most precise GPS tracking. 2) Ease of use. Having used both, I can safely say these are the 2 best GPS watches I know for running. The GT Runner GPS tracking is SUPERB. Perhaps due to the external GPS antennae located on the edge of the strap rather than in-body, plus the dual band GPS that can lock onto GPS, Galileo, Glonass, Beidou,.. Add in the amoled screen and much cheaper price, it's gonna be my go-to watch from here on. I have been smiling ever since I "upgraded" from my Forerunner945 to my GT Runner. I can't say enough how good this Huawei watch is.
I switched from Fenix 6 to this based on your review. I agree apart from GPX files which i will need to use on event runs outdoors this watch is insane value. I have an Apple Watch 8 aswell from a practicality standpoint GT is the best and also has the best display.

Accuracy of GPS tracking, Lightweight, Big bright hi reso amoled screen and a stable Huawei Health companion App. I'm not sure where you are from but in my country, 1 Garmin Forerunner 945 can buy 4 Huawei GT Runners! Hahaha. Insanity.

1. No idea. 2. You can sync Huawei Health with Strava. 3. Huawei usability with iOS is kinda limited at the moment, so I wouldn't recommend it for an iPhone user.
one thing stop me is the 3rd party app integration support, now google fit also not able to sync, the recent added strava integration sometimes got problem to sync too... so many feature but one of the most important elements do not have. Do you know during the MCO all running challenges/competitions are in virtual and Huawei is not friendly with all these virtual run and almost all virtual run does not have Huawei support, mean all the so canggih feature at the end the data cannot be submit to the virtual run or some have to screenshot for submission... feel like spending over thousand to buy a sport running watch but at the end all only shiock sendiri isolated from the runner communities is kind of waste money...

Hi, just bought GT runner. For what i've found GT3 is mostly for daily use. GT runner is more specific for sport with a enhanced GPS. It depends if you want a daily watch with some sport usage or a sport watch with some daily usage

@@arifitriadi1744 I don't have an iPhone, but it depends on how updated is the iOs app. I've heard is so what updated, and don't have many functionalities. So I wouldn't recommend a Huawei watch for iPhone. Better get another brand.
I'm more interested in a 'health' watch. I want to make sure that I'm getting in my daily exercise, but I'm not a runner. I'm more into cycling and walking as well as other sports. Does it keep track of activities other than running? I used to have a polar watch which I really liked, but the charging port stopped working and I couldn't charge it anymore. I did buy a Xiaomi Band 6, but I have to say that I'm disappointed with it's activity tracking. In your opinion is the Huawei watch better at keeping health tracking activities?

It's a super difficult decision! I'm thinking about waiting for the latest Apple watch to come out late this year and hope that the battery life improves over its predecessors.

Smart watches will never be a fitness/running watch until it allowes the same features as a true fitness watch, i.e. support for ant+ or Bluetooth external sensors. This is a standard feature that most smart watches fail in. Optical HRMs will for ever be inaccurate and will never match up to external sensors. Until then, it is only an imitation fitness watch.
Exept dis one supports it and even without it is almost perfectlly on par with the external sensor. So I guess it's a smart watch but also a real running watch according to your logick. I think that where it actually lacks is beeing an actual smart watch, as all Huawei watches do due to the operating system.
Are you kidding me.... Where is the most wanted info about the GPS antenna?!? The problem with previous Huawei watch 3 versions was the gps accuracy and I guess this is why huawei put extra antenna in this huawei runner watch and you don't even mention it....

In terms of the HR sensor this should be more sensitive. Call wise, both comes with built-in mic so you can answer them directly on the watch.
