Not sure if you’ll read these comments but deep diving into Twenty One Pilots is so worth it. They have an underlying lore going through the last 9 years of albums (with this album being the final part) - which is basically mental health and anxiety personified into a post apocalyptic world. Blurryface (from the song Stressed Out) is the antagonist. It’s all really interesting and clever and will turn you from a casual fan into someone utterly obsessed. Tyler thinks of every single detail and there are Easter eggs in almost every video. Please check out some more of them!
I'm more and more captivated by this duo, because they're genuine and doing entirely their own thing, their own sound. I haven't read a single review about them, but the list of songs I like from them keeps growing. I hope to see them live, eventually.
Tickets these days are very hard to come by but BY ALL MEANS….but in some effort and try to get to a show. They are PHENOMENAL and you will find it well worth it to go.
Please do more Twenty One Pilots. There is so much variation in their sound. You won’t regret and I would love to hear Sir Justin’s take. That’d just an honorary title obviously since an American would not be allowed to bestow such a title upon you.
Mr. Hawkins….please do not stop here with them. Please please PLEASE dig into their catalogue and explore. They are fantastic musically, (usually) lyrically. And the lore and story that he’s telling about depression and expression and finding your creativity through darkness, it’s fascinating. They are very much a unique duo.
Welcome back! As a pretty big fan of this band, I’d be interested to see what you think of more of their songs, particularly, “Holding On to You” or “Jumpsuit”
The backstory of that little "solo" at the end is the producer of the track, Paul Meany, took a ukulele section Tyler Joseph recorded from another track. Can't remember if is a released or unreleased song. But he pitched and sped up the track to get that cool sound.
Justin - I love your channel. You have introduced me to so many artists I had previously overlooked. But seeing you delve in to TØP is like a dream come true. This band's back-catalogue is unreal. They are entertaining enough - but if you really get in to the mythology that Tyler has created over the past decade - it really is incredible stuff. Their last album was meant to upset the balance through being 'forced' by the powers that be, as part of the whole story. They will not be pinned down to any style - and any song you may listen to just seems to encapsulate so many genres without any effort whatsoever. It really is fascinating. And they are unbelievable live.
Welcome to TOP! They are lyrically, sonically, and visually stunning musicians and artists. Def worth exploring. You'll appreciate their creativity, no doubt. They have a bit of everything for everyone and are genre-less in their appeal. Can't wait to watch more TOP with you! ❤|-/💛
10:35 There’s definitely an element of that with the second track from this album ‘Next Semester’. I’d say it’s worth a listen, ALL OF THEIR SONGS ARE DIFFERENT! (Basically)
Welcome back!! You have been sorely missed - and back with a review of an awesome band (two of my favourite artists in the same show, wooohoooo!). PLEASE listen to more of their music - Overcompensate and Next Semester (the other tracks from the upcoming album that we know) are so completely different but incredible. Worth diving into!
🤣🤣🤣 nobody under the age of 40 will understand that Harold Bishop reference🤣 You showing your age bro🤣 Definitely the best & funniest thing I’ve read for a while👍
Fab to see you back, I've been surprised how much I missed these videos'. Seen TOP live twice and their shows are excellent, even for a middling 55 y/o such as myself! Their energy is infectious and retro sounds that gen x-ers and their kids can easily get behind. Already mulling over checking out their Clancy tour.
So glad to see you back! I've been a huge fan of this band. They have really progressed musically from their start, but regardless of the album, they are very recognizable. I'm taking my son (8) to see them at their home town show in Columbus, Ohio. It will his very first concert. He is beyond excited. Anyways, glad you're back!
Everything Justin says in this video about Twenty One Pilots is so true. They are really creative and do a lot of dissonant discordious type of sound in many of their songs and they have a range of different sounds for each song with some being more chill and some being less so. They sound so unique to me and it's why I love Twenty One Pilots
so glad you checked these guys out, they have some really interesting sounds and a lot of clever metaphors in their songs. Recommended checking out more from them!
welcome back good sir! and thanx for checking out one of the most genuine musical artists of this generation. i hope you check out some of their older stuff as well. much love 💙🤘🏽
I absolutely love this single. TOP are one of my favourite bands of all time. But like you said, its not what you thought they were lol. I'd suggest listening to songs such as Jumpsuit and Guns For Hands for the true TOP experience!!
Definitely do more reviews of Twenty One Pilots!! They're one of my favorite bands of all time. Such good variety in their sound over the years. I've seen them live twice and virtually once. For more of your pre-expected vibe, check out HeavyDirtySoul or even Jumpsuit.
Met Tyler & Josh last week and they have their feet on the ground and are sincere genuine guys which have given out some of the best music creations I have listened too. Can't wait to hear Clancy in full and Justin good job on the review and please listen to their albums and yes agree with all more TWP reviews please.
This is the first reaction video I've seen of this song that broke it down from a musical standpoint, so thank you. I am obsessed with the dissonance. The piano in this song reminds me of piano in nine inch nails music
Paul Meany, front man for the band Mutemath, is a producer for Twenty One Pilots. I can hear his handiwork in the new album. Both groups are creative and talented musicians. Glad to see you giving them a review.
What a great surprise!!!🎉🎉🎉 you enlighted the day of many of us!❤ It's good to see you again...like always 04:23😉 I've only listened to one song of 21 pilots (heathens), it was nice... PS: 06:40 Olé!!!💃🎸 09:57 🤣🤣🤣🤣
21 Pilots are brilliant! Jump into the rabbit hole of the story Tyler has created from the start and then you will also realise how amazing they truly are. By the way....this song is fantastic too!
Just found you. Your fun to watch. TOP are the best band out these days. Really worth listening to their albums. Start at the beginning to enjoy the growth!
Welcome back! 🥳 Punchy organ music, never heard these three words in this order before, but I agree! You made me listen to 21 Pilots. Turns out I knew their three biggest hits. The most remarkable visual of the videos is that the singer has a black-coloured neck in them, but normally doesn't have one?! Interesting may also be to hear an opinion about the lyrics, not only the chord progression alone.
How did I stumble on you.. never seen you.. but damn. You are really good at this. 😅 great covering the cords on this. Tyler Joseph and his producer Paul Meany really do a lot of things in a unique order and you were picking up all of it. Btw..pretty good Twenty One Pilots fan and this is a favorite track of mine 💛 ❤️ be fun to watch you do more of their tracks.
They are everything and since they are unique band, and treat their fans like they belong, they also have different kind of fan base. (there's lore behind 4 and in the upcoming album). Tyler Joseph is the main producer, co-produced by Paul Meany (Mutemath), drums Josh Dun (occasionally something else). They don't have a genre.
Welcome back! Great reaction but aren't you going to tell us about your time off TH-cam? How was the wave/surf thing on the ship? Did you hang with Extreme? How was the Live Justin Hawkins Rides Again tour? Did you enjoy it live? Some of us don't have Instagram or TikTok and would love to hear/see some clips and your thoughts if you are up for it. Nice to see you again!
Welcome back Justine... whilst you have been on garden leave.... two amazing sounds.... wanting and waiting... the Black Crows.... and Starburster... Fontains DC.... Brill... 6 strings and the truth!
To me, Twenty One Pilots is one of the most genuine bands there is. I've been a fan for about 8 years now and since then I've explored a lot of music, including very highly rated artists, and I love doing that, but Twenty One Pilots is still my favourite band. They get some disrespect from people who aren't very familiar with them, but as someone who's been following them closely for so long, my respect for them is enormous. Like, I could write a whole essay on it. As other people might have told you, they don't really stick to one genre. Listen to the first three songs on Trench for an example. Also, their next album is actually the conclusion to a story that goes back 9 years (the number 9 is actually important itself in the whole lore). There is a lot to uncover there. Would be great if you checked out more of their stuff! I specifically recommend Trench, or their other new singles.
I was hoping to hear of war stories from your solo tour. Also, paint job on the agnostic guitar! Please do tell! (*I've always called my acoustic an "agnostic" guitar. It comes with being dyslexic 😃)
great to see you back! you should check out the second single from this album “next semester” i think it’s a better representation of who the bands are!
Was thinking about you only yesterday! You’re down in Cornwall very soon, at The Great Estate, which is a mere pebble throw from my home, and very exciting! So nice to see you again, I was just starting to worry. Hope everything goes stunningly well for you this summer, love n hugs from Annie, in Cornwall, UK 🙂🌸
Hi Justin! Welcome back I hope your tour went well. I like your channel and how you talk about a lot of modern music. I'm a big fan of great rock music. I love The Darkness, The Struts, Dirty Honey, Royal Blood, Queens of the Stone Age, Black Keys, Foals, Jack White, and more. I regularly watch your channel and I say hi from New Hampshire. Glad to have you back. Known who you are for years because I was a teen when your first Darkness album came out.
New hairstyle, new ink, new guitar, and even the decapitated mannequin in the background has grown a new head. Still the same pithy and informative substance, though. Welcome back! 🙌❤️
Welcome back Justin! I hope you had a great time in-between busy times too! I was just wondering, as you can be said to be proficient at riding the TH-cam train (again hehe), about your experience with what they call OG TH-cam. I would be so happy to see you reacting or commenting on masterpieces like Buffalax or the much-younger Bad Lip Reading - just to name my misheard/misread faves? What are your favourites - if any?
Not sure if you’ll read these comments but deep diving into Twenty One Pilots is so worth it. They have an underlying lore going through the last 9 years of albums (with this album being the final part) - which is basically mental health and anxiety personified into a post apocalyptic world. Tyler thinks of every single detail and there are Easter eggs in almost every video. Please check out some more of them!
Love migraine
It's not a post apocalyptic world, it's more like a false utopia world
So true! I’ve seen them 3 times and they’re amazing!
If you like their studio stuff, their live performances are perhaps 10x better? Seen them twice, love them more and more each time
You’ve gotta go! Best show of my life. I’ve got tickets to 7, 8, and 9th show! 🎉🎉🎉
Best live show in the world without question, please go one day
Please do more Twenty One Pilots. There is so much variation in their sound. You won’t regret and I would love to hear Sir Justin’s take. That’d just an honorary title obviously since an American would not be allowed to bestow such a title upon you.
I am loving the new stuff from Twenty One Pilots.
Yeah, new album out on 24th may
Justin’s back and its with twenty one pilots. This couldn’t be better.
Twenty One Pilots have been one of the best bands to watch grow over the last 10+ years! They deserve all the praise they receive! 🤩
Welcome back! As a pretty big fan of this band, I’d be interested to see what you think of more of their songs, particularly, “Holding On to You” or “Jumpsuit”
And balance was once again restored to the universe.
The backstory of that little "solo" at the end is the producer of the track, Paul Meany, took a ukulele section Tyler Joseph recorded from another track. Can't remember if is a released or unreleased song. But he pitched and sped up the track to get that cool sound.
It’s piano, not uke! And from an unreleased song x
@@ashleyluka Thanks! I misremembered and went back to Meany's video, correct.
Justin - I love your channel. You have introduced me to so many artists I had previously overlooked. But seeing you delve in to TØP is like a dream come true. This band's back-catalogue is unreal. Missed you SOoo much my dear!!! So happy to see your face and hear your voice 🥰🥰🥰😁😁😁!!!
thats a mashup of two worlds i would have never expected. i love the pilots till the day i die. what a way to come back ;)
10:35
There’s definitely an element of that with the second track from this album ‘Next Semester’.
I’d say it’s worth a listen, ALL OF THEIR SONGS ARE DIFFERENT! (Basically)
Ok, I'm 63 and I like whatever is good. That song was pretty good and makes me want to check them out. Cheers!
Like Jesus and Harold Bishop, he came back! Hawkelujah
Or like Bobby Ewing appearing from the shower. It was all a bad dream 😂
🤣🤣🤣 nobody under the age of 40 will understand that Harold Bishop reference🤣
You showing your age bro🤣
Definitely the best & funniest thing I’ve read for a while👍
Harold Bishop 🤣
Sometimes they come Back... Stephen King...🤣🤣🤣
Two days ago?! Damn TH-cam not letting me know! Glad to see you, Hawkins!

It’s definitely worth checking out the bands back catalogue, they take you on a musical journey, I love them
Yesssssssss, the Internet is saved. Good to see you're back and looking so well 💜

Justin looking so healthy my man great to see! Welcome back ☀️
Horray!! I thought I was hallucinating when Rides again popped up on my TH-cam alert😋🎉
Fantastic band and superb live.
Paul Meany, front man for the band Mutemath, is a producer for Twenty One Pilots. I can hear his handiwork in the new album. Both groups are creative and talented musicians. Glad to see you giving them a review.
Please do more of their music soon they have so many more amazing songs and beautifully produced albums!!
Woo Hoo 🎉🥳🎈👯 The weekend just perked up.

You should go back and listen to their second single- "Next Semester" off this upcoming album, personally my favourite of the three so far.
Great to have you back, we've missed you!

Woohoo! Glad to have you back!
Bloody hell Hawkins. I thought that bloke with the wig from KISS had you buried under the HS2 foundations. Phew. You're still above ground.
I liked their earlier stuff, but theres a whole album to listen to as yet. Good to see you back Justin.xx

Welcome back good man!
Great to have you back man!! Some of the BEST content online!
Welcome back.
You were definitely missed.
I highly recommend you listen to some of their other stuff, specifically from Trench.
A lot of their songs sound very different from one another.
Should hear also overcompensate! Welcome back!
Welcome back Justin! Hope you had a lovely, rejuvenating break! ☺️

Great to see you back and on form Justin. Hope you enjoyed the tour as much as we did. Suzuki *is* for Everywon!
Welcome back! Hope tour went well! 💜❤️💜
New hairstyle, new ink, new guitar, and even the decapitated mannequin in the background has grown a new head. Still the same pithy and informative substance, though. Welcome back! 🙌❤️
I think the guitar isn't new...i have seen it in some review before. I love it!
It’s Justin Fucking Hawkins Rides Againnnnnnn!!!!!!!! 🎸🎶🎶🎶
AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Fuck yeah, mate!🤘🏻
Welcome back Justin! I hope you had a great time in-between busy times too! I was just wondering, as you can be said to be proficient at riding the TH-cam train (again hehe), about your experience with what they call OG TH-cam. I would be so happy to see you reacting or commenting on masterpieces like Buffalax or the much-younger Bad Lip Reading - just to name my misheard/misread faves? What are your favourites - if any?
