There are countless studios that EA and Activision have acquired and done nothing with them and just let them rot. I just hope that whoever's going to buy WBG (PLEASE Microsoft) is not going to scrap the projects or worse, dissolve the studio. Fingers crossed that neither of the two mentioned corporations is the buyer because WB may take a lot of fire for some of its actions like unfinished games, but their games are good on the inside. That may die if EA buys them.
I wish WB would work on getting the perpetual rights to the classic Batman games. If they had the rights to the Sunsoft and Konami (which are now one company, and not like Konami is going to do anything with the games) Batman games and released a collection like Disney did with Lion King + Aladdin they'd have a cheap way to make a fast buck since they just need to throw together a half-decent emulator and offer a download for $20...I'm sure they'd get a decent return on investment there. We all love the big AAA releases like Arkham and Injustice but there are rarely any "small" releases to tide us over.
This is a strange one: $4bn is a lot and buying WB Games at that price tag is a huge risk. No company would pay that kind of money unless they REALLY know what they are doing and are rich af. Realistically in my opinion, AT&T would end up selling the studios individually. This will attract that attention of many many potential buyers and allow AT&T to make the best deals they can with different publishers.

Well basically my whole childhood was made from WB games cause Lego and Arkham games but EA have made tons of mistakes for example we have to wait ten years for skate 4 so it triggers me
I'm not sure how to feel about this. I always wanted WB Games to go all in on DC games with everything from Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, and Aquaman to the Titans and Legion Of Superheroes. I would've loved a ton of AAA Harry Potter, Mad Max, and Middle-Earth games as well as other properties they could get into but they just never did all that much. So if they can't or won't do it maybe this is the best option as long as everything is intact but I'd never go with any of the publishers mentioned. I guess Ubisoft would be better but not by much. Microsoft seems like they'd be fine and at least they've been putting everything on PC so it wouldn't all be locked on one platform.
I know this is mostly an arkham video, but when you mentioned EA I couldn't help but think back the Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. The game came out over a decade ago. Half the roster of characters in the game are in that game and nothing else and are unknown to most. So I must ask, do you happen to know if they'd ever do anything with those characters now?

Sell it at full price. EA : use lootboxes instead of completing the Dark Knight challenges to unlock alternate costume. Add multiplayer with microtransaction for upgrades and customization. All side missions become paid DLCs.

if ea got the ip the game would be like this. you start the game with an awful suit and to get the other suits you have to get to level 62 or something, or you can pay $15 to get the suit. then you have to buy all the gadgets(one gadget will cost $6), and you have to buy each mission(1 mission will cost 10 dollars), and all the dlc will be in 15 parts and it will cost $30 for one part. finnally the game will be $60. with about 5 batsuits and 20 gadgets and 10 missions, and 3 dlcs. the game all toghether would cost $1350 There I did EA's job for them.

Yes we do know if the IP's will go with them. NO. No they will not. WB is NOT selling Batman, Superman, or any of their other IP's. So we may never see another DC game from Rocksteady or WB Montreal (after the games they're working on now because this sale will take years to complete). WB can lease those IP's to whoever buys Rocksteady and WB Montreal, but they don't have to. They can lease those rights to any studio they wish or not at all. AT&T is close to 200 billion dollars in debt so I'm sure they will lease the rights to someone (the highest bidder) because they need to do everything they can to make a buck. If Activision or EA buys these studios, we don't want them to get the lease to the rights though because those games will be AWFUL.

others type of sessions for vilains where they will level up (rank up) and get money to buy weapons abilities,properties, outfits and others things they can create chaos too that will be correct few hours later by the session itself.An others sessions where heros versus vilain can fights by doing the batman game missions ( for example 1 batman players against 1 vilain for every missions) all of that with the futur constant new dlc's updates for this new batman game.

if ea got the ip the game would be like this. you start the game with an awful suit and to get the other suits you have to get to level 62 or something, or you can pay $15 to get the suit. then you have to buy all the gadgets(one gadget will cost $6), and you have to buy each mission(1 mission will cost 10 dollars), and all the dlc will be in 15 parts and it will cost $30 for one part. finnally the game will be $60. with about 5 batsuits and 20 gadgets and 10 missions, and 3 dlcs. the game all toghether would cost $1350
There I did EA's job for them.

I think if EA were to get rights to DC, certain parts of it would do great things, and we’ve seen what happened when EA tried to screw over Star Wars fans, I don’t think they would try it with dc fans.

Psychoduck 332 but i disagree with you at the same time cause I don’t think EA is the best choice, considering we should’ve gotten 8 Star Wars Games and so far we’ve only gotten 4 on Console currently.. we won’t see anything actually creative or different I can guarantee you they will only continue to make sequels in the games that already exist and they won’t bother making like idk a Justice League game cause “nope we can’t monetize it” that means it can’t work However they also may not fuck with it either cause don’t forget they do give Respawn full Control of their games kinda.. and im sorry without giving RockSteady Creative Control The Batman Arkham Games would most likely be criticized for being worse than the previous installment, the same would go with NetherRealm without Ed Boon you don’t have Mortal Kombat considering he’s been making them for years i don’t think he will even let EA Touch his Precious

This upsets me to hear tbh, all the Arkham games are absolutely amazing and now they are going to be murdered at the hands of EA/Activision, two companies that load their games with microtransactions. I'd much prefer some company like dice if it has to be sold. Dice fixed star wars and kept EA in check so I wouldn't mind seeing them buy it, if it has to be bought.

Yes we do know if the IP's will go with them. NO. No they will not. WB is NOT selling Batman, Superman, or any of their other IP's. So we may never see another DC game from Rocksteady or WB Montreal (after the games they're working on now because this sale will take years to complete). WB can lease those IP's to whoever buys Rocksteady and WB Montreal, but they don't have to. They can lease those rights to any studio they wish or not at all. AT&T is close to 200 billion dollars in debt so I'm sure they will lease the rights to someone (the highest bidder) because they need to do everything they can to make a buck. If Activision or EA buys these studios, we don't want them to get the lease to the rights though because those games will be AWFUL.
I forgot about Netherrealm being part of the deal. Could you imagine a Mortal Kombat game NOT made by Netherrealm Studios? That is something I never thought I would see. You can guarantee Ed Boone will leave if he doesn't get to at least lease the rights to the game that he created and has babied for 25 years. It's gonna be a sad future for DC/Mortal Kombat games.
