    That cs map would be the more rewarding to drive, with power building as revs increase, like how turbo performance cars used to feel prior to this shift towards making turbo petrol cars feel like diesels

      I have the m3 cs and it has exactly that old school turbo feel. There's honestly nothing down low but once you hit 3000 rpm the car just wakes tf up and gives you that jet engine feeling of being sucked into the back of your seat. Absolutely love that about the car.

    guys, high torque is not good at low revs, the bearings get destroyed. In other words torque is limited on purposeat low revs so to preserve the engine the CS map is better.

    Thanks for this. There’s not a lot of dynos with all these tunes laid out to look at. I’m loving the CS tune atm and just haven’t got catless downpipes yet to really jump on the stage 1 tune yet.

    • @BlakesGarage
      @BlakesGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do Stage 1 with stock cats. Stage 2 you need downpipes.

    • @dragngt
      @dragngt 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      True but I’m a chicken shit with the stage 2 vs my crank hub. Stage 1 with downpipes is my jam for the moment. Plan to keep this car for a while. It’s already paid for.

  • @DiscoWalrus

    320 stock?????????? Tuner must have set the parameters to where it reads lower than a Dyno dynamics! They run 420whp stock. You should have gotten 470ish after the tune.

    • @Snailperformance
      @Snailperformance 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      SubZub 320whp was the avg power from 2500 - 5252 rpms. We were comparing the low end. The graphs are in the video showing the full pulls where the car is marking around 400whp.

    Is that the CS or the CS Plus OTS map? THe Stg1 map has a ton of midrange but dies up top.

    • @samcas707
      @samcas707 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ricky Logan think this was filmed prior to the cs+ map. Afaik cs+ is the cs midrange with gts top end. It’s the map to run on this car, stage 1 midrange torque ramp up makes the car harder to drive on street and power delivery not smooth/linear

  • @osc3
    @osc3 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    So, which do you prefer? CS or stage 1?

    • @BlakesGarage
      @BlakesGarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      CS has the best power delivery for carving corners. Stage 1 seems to put down too much torque down low so you end up with less traction. Both are best with traction control off.
