2007 Hummer H3 Key Fob Case - Replacement

Hello and welcome to, or back to, Wild Country Adventures. In this video I replace the key fob case for my 2007 Hummer H3. This is an easy fix for when the loop at the top brakes and you can no longer attach it to your keys. If your fob still works there is no need to buy a new fob, just replace the case. I would also recommend replacing the battery while you are replacing the case. For my 2007 Hummer H3 I am using a 3 volt Energizer CR2032 battery but any brand should work.
And if you’re going to attempt this fairly easy fix don’t be like me, wear a pair of vinyl gloves to insure the oil from your hands doesn’t get all over the circuit board.

I just got mine off of eBay thinking I had to program them. Didn’t even think about just replacing just the case! THANK YOU!!! Just did it…works great. Going thru dealership would cost up to $300 just for programming. Almost $100 for the fob. Thanks again!

Agreed. I recently replaced a battery in one of my fobs and it doesn’t work now. Do they need programming?

@@everymanadventures9285 I did not need to reprogram my key fob, I just replaced the battery and case, worked fine after that.
