    Hey, just another comment on 15:30 here. I can see a lot of people saying that it might be wind, but kinda just leaving it at that, I'm gonna try to be more specific than just 'there might be wind in the shot' and say that it's likely due to her playing her cello. Multiple times through the animation, we see her create a kind of 'shockwave', not too sure what to call it, centered around her cello. I think it's likely that the effect remains there consistently, it's just toned down until she 'puts effort' into it. If the cello is the source of the 'wind' then the collar and poofy neck tie thing being blown up, as well as her hair being blown more to the side than up, all have a, relatively, sensible source to be acting in that way.
    As a side note, I'm fine with the scene at 12:30 being what it is, primarily because it feels like it is supposed to be that jarring, since after that is when we jump into the real craziness. That's just an opinion though, the swap might've been an easier one to buy with maybe some slight frame distortion, to sell more of the 'illusion' idea, but that also may have been too heavy handed.

      Ooo good point on the wind. That'd better explain the disconnect between other fabrics and her hair reacting differently. It'd require them to physically place a generator for that wind right where the cello is, but it's not impossible to do.

    if im not mistaken the effect at 18:54 is called a "droste effect" which is in direct reference of the blonde girl's last name, Viviana Droste

      The effect is, yeah, I'm just wondering about the technical side of how they actually approached setting the shot up.
      Cool to know that's the character's last name though. That's a great style reference to utilize

    22:00 The "curved up" bridge is actually clever. It helps hide disassembly animation of those bricks behind so the scene would be less complex, and they can focus on other things.

    I don´t know the details, but the abilities of the black-haired girl mess with people´s minds. So, as you´ve already guessed by all those perception shifts, yes, there is a whole lot of mind games going on there.

    Iirc her ability is to distort the mind of people she attacks or who hears her music, so basically she makes people go crazy and this animation shows how and what people see when they do hear it.
    As always it's fun seeing what your breakdown for this animation.

    For the awkward scene at 12:30, I feel like they chose that point because it's when or where the eyes would have become shown. It does indeed flow in a very abrupt manner, hard to tell if that's intentional or not as well considering 'musical arts' seem to lean towards 'mental control or attacks' and most of the trailer being Vivianne, the knightly dressed character, being dragged through what might be illusions or something.
    At 15:00, considering where the characters are, it might be to show wind? They are standing upon a bridge between two towers, rather high up. Makes me curious to see the tussel during the rest of the scenes of'm while on the bridge.
    Really enjoyed seeing you go over the 'brick building' scene lol, first time seeing the trailer, I could definitely tell something was strange about it but seeing you go through it by frame, it's kind of hilarious. You have bricks clipping through each other, some shrinking while still at the forefront of other bricks, et cetera lol.
    Still absolutely love these videos of you going over the animations and such, it's a lot of fun speculating how they're done. Also love these two characters and their designs, not only do we get Vivianne's return, we actually get both of these two as Operators in-game with this event! We first see Vivianne in Near Light, and Virtuosa in Lingering Echoes, and I can't wait to have them around for this anniversary event!

      A lot of people are saying wind, which definitely isn't wrong, but the physics on the wind were a bit silly in some places. That's entirely expected and partially why i mentioned that re-rendering for silly details isn't necessary.

    15:30 I think it could possibly be indicating wind or something because the collar and tie or whatever were kinda moving in the same direction at the same time as her hair was
    I dunno tho, just a hypothesis
    18:42 I see what you're saying, though I think it works fine when you watch the animation normally because it is a kinda jarring scene with the paper flying up and the atmosphere kinda changing suddenly. Doesn't necessarily need to be perfectly smooth when looking at it frame-by-frame; probably another one of those things you might notice but choose not to waste all the time re-rendering to fix
    also to reiterate another comment, the "spikey things" are Sankta wings. Usually they're more white or yellow and glow very intensely, but if the Sankta in question kills someone for any reason they darken. The appearance of Sankta wings and halos seem to vary the same way you might expect hair or eyes to vary between individuals, so I'm not sure if the three-dimensional, jagged, rocky appearance of Arturia's wings comes from that individual variation or from her killing people, or something else entirely
    Individual appearances can be very different, but generally Sankta wings appear more like two-dimensional projections than three-dimensional objects (they are called "wings of light"). Despite that appearance they do still have a physical form and can be moved to a degree, if I remember correctly

    i play piano and i've always liked the sound of strings, particularly cello, and i think piano and strings go together very well xd (particularly in the music surrounding this event)
    idk acting like a schizo is also just amusing to me for some reason in this instance
    maybe my life is just that boring rn
    although the music for this event is genuinely fucking gorgeous

    dropping some lore: "weird spiky things" are wings, every character is based on a animal at time mythic and sankta are angels, sort of. theres good indication that sanka are actually sarkaz, demons, that are bound by a law we dont know much about but is magical enough to change an entire people
    how bright that are is related to how much they follow their precepts conversely how black they are is how much they defy those precepts through lawlessness
    also sankta society can be... holier then tho when it comes to dissident sankta and non sankta

    A bit late to find this channel and these animation analysis videos are great, they break down some of these segments really well.
    About the bridge shot, one important thing is that they change places completely after that. During the whole sequence they're inside but on that shot but after the camera cuts to Arturia again they're outside at the bridge between the two towers all the stairs and other structures around just vanished. Maybe the bricks aren't just being re-arranged, the whole scenario is shifting there as if in a weird fast forward to another place after Vivianne found her footing and was immediately placed at the top after falling for a while. The whole concept of space doesn't seem to follow any rules in what seems to be a dream sequence. Considering this that's probably the best way they could've animated that in my opinion because it simply breaks all rules as it feels like she took control of her own "dream" and just built that with her own will to reach the end immediately.

    most certainly too much to ask/consider but ever thought to go/skip through a anniversary stream as a whole (of course only from animation to animation)
    most main/side story staff gets released on its own when the actual eventy are happening but some other stuff never leaves the stream(recordings)
    like the "fake" commercials they do for the ingame world or fid someone smth like a playlist for terra-adds already?
    or some other stuff were I think sometimes it would be nice to hear an analysis
    (though last time I think it was with some trsnsitions in the ch12 pv and before that while rewatching some fight scenes from an anime "assault lily bouquet" based on another gacha game now has me always thinking oh are these all the impact frames he always mentions?😂)

    The black things behind the black haired girl are her "wings" (she's got a black halo too), black and fragmented because she's a "fallen angel". The wings are a characteristic of the Sankta race ( break a law of the race, get your halo and wings replaced by an edgier black version), you'll see a red-haired Sankta in the Holy Knight Light animation with golden/yellow colored wings and halo.

      Arturia isn’t a fallen sankta. Black just means they’ve killed. The appearance of horns identifies the fallen. Executor has a black halo and isn’t fallen.

      Black also doesnt mean they killed, arturia parents were average and didnt kill anyone i think. Spuria wings are pink, what does it mean? That she was Born gay or something? No wings are just really randomized at birth, young Federico had Black wings too iirc

    I know the cut from Arturia(black hair) to Viviana(blonde hair) in 11:52 was meant to be abrupt but do you think a first person POV of the character blinking would be a better transition?

    I think it's a bit strange to mention the appearing blocks considering it's clearly something appearing out of nowhere, with the bridge growing railings as you mentioned, and since it's meant to be trippy in the first place.

    15:30 ish could it be something that has to do with maybe a wind effect?
    Im no animated artist or whatever i just thought it was wind or air waves that move things like that?

      Yeah, but even for wind physics it's a bit unnatural. Especially because the balance of the wind in her hair is much better controlled
