I feel like this is probably one of the best arknights animations so far for education purposes. It's like how in high school my English teacher would use 7/10 examples so that you could see both good execution and some things to watch out for.
One of my favorite little details of this animation is the snow falling on the pavement during the scene where the gang's car is turning down into the warehouse alley. 5:03 of the video. It's easy to forget even while just casually watching that it's snowing the whole animation pretty much. Honestly, for their first real animation video, this was such an incredible experience for us players back when it came out. Still a joy to watch even after the years. If you haven't gone over it yet, I think the 3D PV for Ideal City would be great to see you go over! Would ask for something from Genshin's PV's, but their fanbase terrifies me on the idea of criticizing anything from their games lol... Their PV for their recent character release, Furina, was pretty fun and cute. Lot of interesting directional choices with that one.
You said super long vid and i expected 1 hr + this is nothing lol. Loved the breakdown regardless! I loved this back in the day, now we in global are almost 4 years in and it makes me happy. More money, more practice, more everything since this animation. Yea that roof explosion is wings of a pegasus and nearl is such a cool character, if you saw near light animation shes in that too. Im glad you liked the animation :).
Part of the context for this animation is that it's a direct sequel to Code of Brawl, the gangsters seen here are more Sicilian Famiglia goons back for a rematch.
did see it first time before starting to play ak myself now thinking back if this is canon it should be after misha/chen gets the bear (on her desk) in the slums and before frostnova part though in the game/anime didnt seem much like a big time gap/new year time plus penguin logistics left for a trip just some random curious thoughts mfg Olli
It's interesting how unpolished a project can look, when you compare it to what the same group's capable of, years later. Especially when the latter is what you've seen first and are used to.
Thought of doing watchalongs for the anime? Can't really show the anime itself, but you could still have interesting things to say. Especially with the up and down animation quality.
I considered it but I'm pretty quiet when watching anime so i can focus and absorb. I'd prefer to keep something as "me time" anyway. Nothing kills the mind faster than turning every waking hobby into a job 💀
The pegasus wings at the end could mean 2 things, Nearl either healed the mafiosi so much that knocked them out, or she was going crazy in that battle and needed heavy healing for herself, as her skill is basically a heavy heal for allies and herself 😅🤣

This was the first real animation they did. It was 3 years ago and they have progressed quite a bit over those 3 years
They have been doing animated trailers before that. But, yeah, it was their first animation that is longer that just several seconds long

It was an early manifestation of her S2 as Radiant Nearl lol. She just helidropped them
