Glad to see another company bringing something to rival the AP! I know nothing about Kaku kayaks, so can't really speak to apparent quality, but so glad to see it. It was only a matter of time, and to be perfectly honest I expected a collab with Motorguide from one of the bigger manufacturers, but regardless, options are great! Price isn't terrible either!
I knew it!!! I knew if you used the Zulu for a bit you would make it yours! Especially in FL shallow water fishing. It's a fishing machine. Congrats!
yeah tbe pwr is nice but missing
I bought a Kulu kayak because of your videos today
awesome!!!! hope you love it!
Love it, this is my first fishing kayak and it will be difficult to switch now. Maibe to much of a fan but all kakus look amazing for fishing.
Aliex, thanks for bringing out the big camera again.
Thank you, We bought a new nicer tripod $250 auch, but I like the results we are improving 😉
That bird did a photo bomb 😅😮
I have the exact boat. Some day I hope to get that motor. Pedal for now. Great vid ✊🏽
Awesome
Good morning Aliex that motor is awesome 😁👍
Good morning ☺️
It is nice, and fast
It would be ideal to have the short shaft motor. This design is very innovative!
I thought about maybe doing 24 in but then you may wanna use it on other boats
Totally understand with the content you create. @@AliexFolgueira
Just ordered one, idk if I’ll ever buy the motor but this video has me thinking I should. 😂
HI Maxey, the motor is amazing, watch this video here of me fishing with the motor here th-cam.com/video/Ls4RTRDirQI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L8wGd85C0BAu-r5t fishing starts min 17ish how did you order your Zulu? what made you buy one?
@@AliexFolgueira ordered from the website, and the video of you jumping up and down on it made me buy one, I’ve never seen a kayak that looked so stable. I was considering the pelican catch mode 110 which still looks like a great boat, but the seat and stability really sold me on this one.
@@MJBjj870 I think you will be happy with this one! Let me know how it goes :)
@@MJBjj870 can you email me at afishingtv@gmail.com, I would like to ask you a question.
@@AliexFolgueira sure no problem
Eye-scope
@@TinyBoatNation eye scope or feelings scope for me for sure haha 😂
That is an awesome kayak. The only question I have is where would you mount the transducer on your fishfinder?
how are you going to use it? with the XI3?
@@AliexFolgueira either the XI3 or pedal drive because not all tournaments here in Texas allow motors…
Best kayak out there
Love that setup. Would you be confortable in 2.5-3' waves
I've had a Zulu since 2019 and have taken it offshore here in Florida in 3-4ft waves and it just cuts through no problem!
What top speed did you uou get outta yours rigged up?
I get about 3.8 MPH outta mine fully rigged with the Xi3.... 100ah lipo in back and 30 ah lipo in front with all my fishing gear and 9 inch sonar and 16x16 blackpak
It is in the video can't remember i think 4.1
Nice video! I don't know that you want to go much faster on a front- or mid-motor kayak since the motor can't kick up like one in the rear when you hit something. Does the seat have a weight limit like some Hobie seats...particularly for standing in the seat and for sitting on the seat back? Thanks man!
At least it holds 600# more than the yak
An u mount that motor in a Perception Showdown where the pedal drive is??
Hi Alex, the XI3 motorguide on the Zulu is a 36" shaft ?
@@ThomasMideaker yes but they Said they are not selling that model anymore
Any insight on why xi3 was discontinued. Wonder if Kevin at KaKu is looking into a substitute to replace the xi3.
he is working on that, no idea why they stopped it
Even though the xi3 36" shaft has been discontinued. Was it difficult to setup the motor on the first use.
My set is Zulu with Minn Kota trolling motor, amp outdoors battery and ProNav for GPS and spot lock.
Sweet
Aliex copy cat😂😂😂
@IBFISHING813 what?
What top speed you get with yours?
I'm 220lbs and get 3.8 outta mine fully loaded.
@@SargesAdventures I think just above 4. My Minn Kota is the 50 lb thrust. Probably an overkill 😂 I think there is also some wiggle room to gain more spread depending on the depth of the prop
Would like to know what kind of run time you get with that size battery. Ya know just normal fishing day with using spot lock.
Probably on 100ah max speed 13 miles, just fishing? That battery will last days, I only used 10% while fishing on this craft the other day
Thanks for the video. Is that the battery Kevin sells with it, and could you fit two under the seat?
he sells the 80ah amped, he mentioned he puts it under the seat
It's like a budget old town autopilot 😮
Where are these kayaks made? Not the accessories but the actual kayak body?
The plastic is cooked in China gets assembled here
When are you flipping this? I am waiting to see that! I have another question. Your maybe the only person that knows the answer. I am looking for my last kayak. I fish big lakes in Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. I am thinking Action Sports your buddy sells the Nucanoe unlimited 12 . Your new buddy and the Kaku Zulu. I have already been to Action Water sports. I live in Tampa so close to Kevin. You my friend have tested both. I will be using an electric motor. I do like to paddel too. I cant desided which one will be the best. I like the way the Kaku looks. I like that the NuCanoe is made in the USA. Not just assembled in the USA. Stabliity is #1 consideration, for me. I want to stand and fish. I have a Jackson Kuda 12. I can stand but not really comfortable. I like the Kaku is only 36 inches vs 41 for the Nucanoe. What do you think?
few can stand on the cuda, if you like pedals, i think teh kaku is a better option, if you want max stability and motors, the unlimited, since you live close to both, go demo them! dont draw conclusions till you demo both. The zulu is like a paddle board, it is forgiving but if you try a little i bet it will flip, but i can sit on top of the seat, fight a nice fish and no issues.
Hahaha you are a funny guy. Don’t use a FFS but use a GPS trolling motor. I guess you are ok with this technology 😂 why don’t you just use a paddle only you don’t need this technology lol 😂
What? So you are not supposed to use a motor on boats ???????????? I don't get this analogy, when motors find fish for you, let me know
Also paddles stop you from fishing, so it is counterproductive, the whole point is fishing !
@@AliexFolgueira hey a paddles will still get you on the fish let’s be honest here, it maybe harder but, still can be done. And guess what FFS will get you on the fish but guess what ? It doesn’t mean you will catch the fish. So having FFS is still fishing you are not guaranteed to catch a fish with it but, will help you not waste time in an area when there is no fish there.
Oh and side note Hobie PA are stable, lmao sorry, I had to slide that in just for you Aliex 😂
@paulc1905 you are wrong in all your statements, 1 pedal drives aren't 100% hands free fishing, record yourself while fishing see how many times you touch that rudder, 2 ffs is boring, cheating and just bs, and 3 you haven't lean on your pa you don't have the b...just wanted to throw that in
@@AliexFolgueira hahah I love the absolute statements you make like you can’t be wrong. We will see in a few years if you stick to what you are saying about FFS. 🤦♂️
Excellent video bro! Do you happen to know if that trolling motor rated for saltwater? I'm looking for my first like this and hopefully be able to get years out of it!
Yes the white version is, costs more here is my affiliate link to the motor geni.us/Aszp do you have a Zulu already?
@@AliexFolgueira not yet bro but gonna get one in the next few months. I'll order from your link when I'm ready! Thanks for the reply
@nohandsdan9353 thank you bro, If you have any questions let me know, Kevin also sells the Kaku and xi3 as a combo, iGuide
