It's not beef in Bun Cha , but pork . The green wrapping stuff is a leaf called La Lot , a kind of Betel leaf . 20K for a good shoe cleaning is a fair price in Hanoi . The restaurant where you got your coconut juice is actually one of the most expensive in this area , because of its nice location ( facing the lake ) . 8 years ago I already had to pay 35K for a small Aquafina bottle . 40k for the cyclo tour around the lake is a bit expensive . You could have an hour tour visiting different touristic spots for 120k or 150 k .
But compared to Western , North East Asian and some other SEA countries ( Singapore , Thailand , Malaysia , Philippines , Brunei , Indonesia ...) , Vietnam is still a very affordable country to visit .
I want to sell women virgin human hair extensions. Any advice on where I can find the manufacturers and how I can bargain the price. I know this may not be your area of knowledge but I will be going there and don't want to go totally ignorant 😅😅

Vietnam together with Malaysia are the cheapest Southeast Asian countries (excluding India obviously).
Did you do visa on arrival or Embassy visit? The KL embassy stop issuing visas at 09.30. Which keeps the rifraf out. Hanoi in February can be really cold.
Take the Reunification Express via Hoi An to get all those custom made garments for a song. If you
over buy, post to your mum.

@@Joelfriend Yeah you are right, Joel. Considering the hot places like District 1 vs. areas around Sword Lake, Hanoi has more attractive places with signature foods around. However, living expense in Hanoi is probably higher if considering it for long term.
