Hey, as a foreigner you can buy tickets for the Lao railway. We did it last month, you must go to the station in person with your passport, only then will you be able to buy them. Hope this helps for future reference!
Love how you guys always manage to find the most beautiful and remote spots to share with us. Always such fun and a pleasure to be part of your adventures. You make every place you visit seem so special. Awesome to see these places through your eyes and experiences. You both have great enthusiasm which is infectious!
So excited that they have the high-speed train. Look like you guys are loving it there. Well done, as always. We are excited to be in Laos this Summer and again on our drive around the World. Keep up the adventure and we will keep watching. Hope you are enjoying our channel too, my friends. - Turtle
Helo Joel and Emilia, greetings from British Columbia, Canada. At about the 2:20 mark on this clip, you referenced a bridge as being a 'Classic Loas Bridge'. This bridge design may be classic, but it's not 'Lao'. Background: The Bailey bridge is a portable, pre-fabricated, truss bridge developed in 1940-1941 in Britain for use during the Second World War. During the Second World War, it was used by military engineering units of the British Commonwealth countries and the United States in nearly every theater of war, including in So.E. Asia. I often see these bridges as temporary detour structures when road sections are impassable until repairs are completed. Love your stuff, keep it up. Cheers
As someone who’s recently done the Luang Prabang to vang vieng train, what I did was simply go into an activity booking place in the town (was by the river) the day before ( do it earlier as supposedly there wasn’t much left). They just book it for you on their phone with a small charge. I got a pick up from my hostel and taken to the station + the ticket all for 250k kip which is around £9.40. You can probably get it cheaper but it was incredibly easier and didn’t involve anyone queuing, actually going to the station or paying the inflated prices via 12go
Hi Joel, me and my wife are currently in Chiang Mai, will be heading towards Laos at some point soon. Where else is good to go in Laos? Also, we forget to get an international driving permit, is that really necessary?? I have a full UK motorbike licence. Enjoy watching your videos, where are you at the moment??
Going from the north, Gibon Experience -> Slow boat to Prabang -> Vang Veing -> South of Loas a few small hippy towns -> Into Camboia. You only need 3ish weeks. Cambodia you need a month.
I'm not sure if we were just really unlucky but when we went last month it was just us and maybe 5 other people on the whole route 🤣 I just uploaded a vlog of it, I'm curious if we were just unlucky because it DEFINITELY wasn't wild haha! Yours looked more fun for sure
I was in vang vieng before during December and the water was just perfect for swimming. I think you guys went swimming too early in the morning. Wait til noon when the sun is fully out and hot. Best time for swimming is from 12 to 4pm.
Hello! May I have permission to use some of your videos to make videos for Tik Tok? Because my teacher gave us final project exam about promoting Vangvieng Laos. Thank you

Currently in Vietnam. So legally yes you must have an International driving licence but not necessarily really needed.

Oh i thought I saw you in Laos last time i wasn't sure.
What time of year did you go? I’m going February and wondering what the weather and temperature is like?
They used to have an epic slow boat for 2 days before the train system, shame that's gone.
Hi Joel,
How close from starting point of tubing to the 1st bar? There are only 2 bars all the journey?
❤❤❤
Hi! great video! Could you please mention the name of the hostel/hotel you recommended in the video?
Are u still here? I am in Vientiane.if you don't mind having coffee with me.
Noo unfortunately I’m not here anymore, I’m in Vietnam, my Instagram has more recent updates of where I am
