- The Council of Elrond scene featuring a solo by vocalist Kaitlyn Lusk. Conductor Ludwig Wicki did a fantastic job leading The Munich Symphony, Pacific Chorale, vocal soloist Kaitlyn Lusk, and the Phoenix Boys Choir in a full symphonic performance of Howard Shore's score for The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring. This performance was on 10/23/2011 at the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, California.

I loved Viggo as Aragorn and Sean as Boromir. Two of my favorite characters of TLOTR :)

There is so much more potential for films, I want films on the elves of the first age or Gondolin. There could be a trilogy on the Arnor civil war and the following war with Angmar and the witch king, of course it doesnt end well as Arnor and the elves kingdom fall.
I think it is Peter Jackson we should thank! Even though Tolkien had the creation to make such a world, Peter Jackson had the vision to turn it into the greatest movie of all time.
Especially with how bad Disney is destroying Star Wars there's no comparison. Best trilogy. Best soundtrack

I saw this with the Cleveland Orchestra and the place went nuts when Boromir said "One does not simply walk into Mordor." It was a lot of cheering lol

Because the music was performed live, and it WAS considered a concert, the music volume was overpowering at times, drowning out some of the dialogue here and there. I suppose that's the reason.

Gimli smashes his axe on the ring and suddenly has another axe?
he has 5 of them anyway :) look closely at his photos and you see. and the fellowship rested in Rivendell about 2 months before they went south. so he could have got another from elven armory or smiths.
If you look closely the axe he used to try to destroy it he actually stole from the dwarf beside him (I think he was actually his father Gloin).

The more I watch this scene, the more I think Boromir is right given the information he has.
He is immediately rude to Aragorn. Ok, he's watched his father go mad, he carries the weight and responsibility of Gondors protection entirely on his shoulders. Aragorn is someone who could help restore Gondor to its former glory, but instead he prattles around in the woods not making too much difference. I'd be furious if the man who could save my nation was playing "hunt 5 orcs at a time" half way accross the world!
As for using the ring....no one tells him destroying the rings destroys Sauron.....as far as he knows, they've still got to win the war. A war that he has by far the most experience in and knows that they are losing.

Why on earth does this have subtitles?
I get it in other countries cause obviously they're using subtitles rather than dubbing, but for english speaking countries??
Because there will be times that the orchestra is very loud compared to the movie. To make sure you can follow along they add the subtitles. You can’t just turn down the orchestra or constantly change the volume of the film
