Bought the Dewalt one today. Got it for $225 with my military discount at Home Depot. On sale for $245. I can't wait to use it. I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight.
Thanks.. That was best Demo I have seen.. I was undecided, But as I mostly have DeWalt, That is the one I'm buying... Plus on the Makita, I did notice a lot of the Dust collecting at the rear of the blade on long rips.. Yes That is a small detail but since they both performed so well, its the small details that matter
Solid review @renovationsandrepair I owned the dewalt but sold cuz i didnt like the sight line, i own the xgt and flex models. Flex best of both worlds, smooth cutting refined feeling of makita with the power maybe more powerful then the dewalt in my opinion. Makita adjustment are smoother, but flex also doesnt shake, cuts straighter for more, kerf markings are right on, dust port is best, has a light and sightline blower that comes in more handy then u think. Where the xgt doninates all the way around is their gen2 recip saw, beast!
It's odd how different things are in different areas. In my area I rarely see a rear handle saw. Almost everyone uses the top handle circular saws. I have the 36v Makita top handle and it's a heavy beast. I need to get 6 1/2" for my style of work. How do you like the Spyder blades?
As you said the DeWalt IS a few years older , so of course its going to vibrate more ... I like Makita and I had some of their 40v tools but I wasn't impressed and ended up taking them back to the store , but to each their own ....👍🖖
The dewalt does a much better job of keeping your cutting area clean. Blade is much more visible. Imo that's the most important difference and why i prefer the dewalt
The Makita dust chute is average, could be better. The Milwaukee is not in the same field, has less power for sure. I’ve just reviewed Makita vs Milwaukee
you should try makita with 5ah battery, it would be more powerful (9ah FV pack is much more powerful compared to makita 40v 4ah, 5ah would help a lot). also flexnolt batteries have flawed BMS' inside, so I would stay away from them, they are a borderline scam. makita xgt ones are like a space age tech compared to them :)

It’s the OG of badass cordless saws man. You will love it.

Best review I’ve seen on these. Thanks!
I need a blade left circ saw so bad I have the original flexvolt circ saw still and it's such a pain. I have the track saw for precision.

Lol, DeWalt tools are never as smooth as Makita tools, and especially not saws.
For ripping timber I would go for power over ease of use…I own the makita, might upgrade to thedewalt
Most of my big power tools are dewalt flexvolt and it’s because of the power is unmatched
it isn't really
@riba2233 whatcha got that's better?
New gen 2 dewalt miter saw
Dewalt table saw
Dust extractor
Circular saw
Track saw
All flexvolt
@@TheBaconAgent212 are the flexvolt miter saws worth it?
Yes the new dewalt single battery flexvolt 12” mitersaw is very good and very much worth the cost
Great video !!

Try 5ah with makita
Makita has a black rubbber removable dust port that helps clear dust better . An upgrade from older models.
Both premium tools. :)
