Feel it would have been more in character for Genos to initiate the fight by assuming war machine was the cyborg who killed his family. Like he did with the iron gorilla.
That's why his latest upgrades involve his body parts being able to detach from his main body to counter enemies who try to pull off his arms etc. He's learning strategies. The problem in War Machine's case is that getting hit with a giant flamethrower again and again wouldn't be too bad if you're mostly machine, but Rhody is completely flesh and blood. @@frankcastle9691 agreed it would make more sense to pick a point in time for all marvel heroes rather than cherry picking strongest moments from different storylines for various stats.
the problem with Death Battle and the person that handles the battle is that they gather *every single* piece of article that a character has been a part of that benefits the character in the video - *despite* the fact that every single comic book is written by different people and have different interpretations of a character. Just because War Machine has intangibility in on comic - does not mean that a new comic or an old one will showcase that ability EVER. That's why the Ben 10 vs Hal Jordan one was so bad in terms of research - because they gave Green Lantern every ability that he's gained without any of his weaknesses - but butchered Ben 10 and limited his abilities because of the person handling the script. (It's been shown that Wiz and Boom don't actually handle the scripts anymore) Did you know that Superman at one point had psychokinesis? No? Well, that's because it was in a separate movie series - and he's never been seen using ESP every again... but by Death Battle logic - since he's used it once or twice: he can use it against his opponent. If they had picked on the War Machine that had the intangibility (which in theory is the best one), more than likely that War Machine was not the version that can survive a nuclear explosion or be as fast as Genos when it comes to physical combat (despite that in much more comic series he's always been seen as part of the slower class in terms of physical combat). But because they mixed all the good qualities of War Machine together and discarded his weaknesses (i.e. intangibility, super speed, absurd endurance); War Machine dominated Genos with ease. Once again, by that logic: the best War Machine, the best Iron Man - can fight toe to toe with Superman or Goku and the match can go 50/50. This match is unfair for the very reason that they picked a character with so much options (when in reality those options are shown throughout different interpretations and *not* a singular entity) - mashed them together and put him in a ring where he fought another character with lesser options than he does, but still by all standards: Genos should've and would've obliterated almost every other War Machine. I said before that intangibility is the best War Machine so far, because War Machine could just play the long game and eventually win. Edit: fixed some typos.
Some says Genos lost cause he didn't have the endurance and heavy power to take down war machine, but the true reason he lost is because Genos is the universe's punching bag.

@@ricoseb he can deflect an attack that sliced a piece out of the Earth. What makes you think he can't slice a piece a bit smaller out of the earth? And its in the manga
Rhodey didn't just fill-in as Iron Man from time to time, there was a period where he was Iron Man full-time because Tony wanted to kick his alcoholism habit, Tony decided not to be Iron Man until the habit was kicked, so he let Rhodey take over full-time until Tony kicked the habit. That's when Tony made Rhodey the Warmachine suit for Rhodey, not that it had already been built like in the Iron Man movies.
Just wanna point out that if he's not using the other armor, his feats in other suits shouldn't have even been a factor here. The battle capabilities of each Iron Man suit can vary greatly between different versions, and just because Tony blew up a rock in a completely different suit does not mean that Rhodey can blow one up with a suit that's mainly about projectile weaponry. It might have the same specs when it comes to durability and power output, but how Rhodey uses his suit is still different to Tony. Plus Tony frequently employs risky tactics to overload his suit in order to pull feats off, which is a luxury that Rhodey doesn't have since he doesn't have a walk in closet of the things and if his suit falls apart around him while he's in the air he can't just call another one remotely to save him. That's not even accounting for how Tony's suits often have little tweaks up to large upgrades to further boost his repulsors or enable him to tailor his output to specific needs. War Machine, even if it has the same specs, is far bulkier and heavier than most of Tony's suits. It isn't designed for mobility, so it's not built around the repulsors in the same way that Tony often makes his. As a small aside, Rhodey's mentioned speed feat is travel, not combat. There is nothing to show that he can fight with the same speed that Genos does in a hand to hand setting, probably the other way around in fact.
Well all iron man suits are different, but the do come with the same basic design and tools like JARVIS, missiles, EMPs, etc. Plus all iron man suits share the same power supply and core design, so it's totally reasonable to scale the war machine suit to other iron man suits, especially since that feat was done with an older suit (I own the comic) and war machine is based off the Mark VII Modular Armor, Tony's most used suit. As for speed, I'm no rocket scientist, but I've read enough aerospace books to know that flying into space is difficult at any speed. If Rhodes can fly into space that quickly, the computers in the suit must be capable of making calculations at those speeds as well. After all, why have a machine that can move at such speed, yet can't help you navigate. Also, also, unlike Tony's suits The War Machine Suit isn't an entire armory like Stark's. Instead, the one armor is constantly upgraded and built upon. As to answer, "Then why do all his suits look different, nyeh!" to that I say, different installments, different artists.
This one actually suprised me. I'm not familiar with comic war machine, so I went in thinking he was comparable to MCU warmachine, why? I dunno, kinda dumb on my part considering comic tony has casually created godkiller armour before.

Sadly every char in marvel and DC was stupidly powerful at 1 time in their comic.
(It's been shown that Wiz and Boom don't actually handle the scripts anymore)
Did you know that Superman at one point had psychokinesis?

I don’t know of people consider this “serious fights” (some of the are and some of them aren’t), but Genos defeated:
-Armored Gorilla and won without a scratch
-He was on par with Sonic before Saitama interrupted
-He was on par with Garou before Bang interrupted
-He won against a bunch of tiger/demon monsters in the manga (extra chapters).
-He won against Roach monster
-He won against scar-face/face-ripper monster
-He did great damage to Elder centipede
-He won against G4 and G5

Hell no genos would get destroyed. Hes weak af
Coming back to this fight I can say that the worst blow Genos landed was calling War Machine's Armor ugly
Stephen Grenleski yeah it was around the time of the first secret wars story
Saitama and Audience: “Wow didn’t see that coming”, in sarcastic tone!!!!

This wasn’t a surprising ending.
MoJo Claw no it was not, and we saw it coming a mile away!!!!!!
looks i know who won before i even watched it
Said nobody ever.
I haven't even seen yet I'm guessing genos got absolutely slapped
Christian Gillespie that’s...
A lot to point out
that's a pretty serious comment for an opinionated video
He do make a good point tho
Woah calm down Jamal
This one actually suprised me. I'm not familiar with comic war machine, so I went in thinking he was comparable to MCU warmachine, why? I dunno, kinda dumb on my part considering comic tony has casually created godkiller armour before.
