    Id also use that neon dry bag as the bag i toss all my items into before TSA: my phone, watch, belt, ID, glasses, wallet water bottle...everything. This way nothing gets lost, and I get through TSA super fast.

      Love that idea! I use my sling bag the same way…I don’t chance anything just floating in the bin :)

    Binder clips (medium size) are super helpful - closing food, curtains, etc.

      Definitely a good alternative to chip clips :) And cheap!

    Nice video! Found a couple new ideas, thanks! Two things I bring for trips: sarong which can be used for so many purposes (light wrap, skirt, light blanket, picnic blanket, etc…), and hanging hooks. IKEA makes a hanging hook clip you can loop around something like a towel bar or closet bar, but also the brand OXO makes a great version that is sturdier called “ClipHanger”. Great to hang up items to dry as there is never enough space for these!

      Thanks for the tips! I love IKEA and will have to look for those!

    I never thought to bring collapsible organizer tray/containers. I have stood in the room & thought, "it.would be great if.... The room had more hooks to hang.jackets away from clothes or to.hang extra wet towels." Freakin' brilliant! Thank you!

      Agreed…before online shopping was a thing, I’d think that and forget the moment I got home…now it’s just two clicks and two days away 😂

    I have a pair of sandal crocs that I wear around the hotel room, in the shower and for emergencies like when the fire alarm went off at 1:30 am! (Everything was ok, thank goodness. Just be sure to grab your purse/wallet and CAR KEYS!)

    I agree about the dry bag! I bring a Scrubba Wash Bag and do my laundry in it. Toss a laundry detergent sheet in, soak it during the day, then agitate for a few minutes..so quick and easy!

      I haven’t considered soaking clothes in the bag first…that’s a great idea too!

    Hi l will check throes brands out. Rub a heavy conditioner onto ends of hair or l heard if you wet your hair prior to swimming it doesn’t absorb the pool water as much

    The shopping bag at the end looks great. I had something similar for over 25 years, it finally gave in this year ( broken strap) and I was looking for something similar that I could carry over my shoulder. 😊❤

    That multi tool doesn’t get flagged by tsa with it having a blade?

    Hello, thank you for the information. I’ve put several items on my list to purchase. I’m just wondering about travel shampoo as my hair is dry? I’m looking into Scottevest as it has pockets for everything, even rfid. Microfibre towels are great.

      I’ve found that shampoo bars vary by brand as much as liquid shampoos do. Of my two favorites, the Saphus one seemed to do better with moisturizing hair (I swim laps everyday and the chlorine tends to dry out my hair). And I’ve looked into those vests in the past! If you get one and love it please report back!

    Since we are planning to do carry on only--will the Gerber mulit-tool go thru security?

    • @WorldWanderersUSA
      @WorldWanderersUSA  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry, I should’ve clarified that I always keep that in my checked luggage. Because it includes a knife, TSA will most likely confiscate it.

    The shampoo bag explanation. It’s size of droplet that allows the one way transport of water. The water evaporates from the shampoo blocks so is a gas, tiny molecules can paw through the membrane. Water droplets won’t go in because they are a thousand times larger molecules than the single Vapor molecules. It’s the way vortex works too. You sweat vapor, it escapes, but liquid water tries to enter from outside the molecules are too big to pass through.

    You can put your luggage under your bed on a cruise to save space

    • @WorldWanderersUSA
      @WorldWanderersUSA  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! This is a good tip! We have occasionally come across stuff stored under the bed though (extra blankets/stuff to convert the king bed to twins) where this wasn’t an option so I don’t like to count on it :)

    Those first 4 things are a silly waste of luggage space. Noise machine? Wear earphones, I’ve got a headband one. Thermos flask? Cope without ice. Pillow? All hotels have pillows. Blanket? All hotels have blankets. Bring a lightweight scarf instead if you need one for travelling.

    • @WorldWanderersUSA
      @WorldWanderersUSA  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Definitely a waste of space if you don’t have the space…but I find I’d rather have things that make me comfortable for long term travel than extra outfits :) I also have never gotten the hang of sleeping with headphones in 🤷🏻‍♀️ To each their own though!

      She said that the pillows hurt her neck sometimes. The cups at hotels are small and the ice melts quickly. The tumblers are great for keeping drinks cold or hot. Really listen to what she said she uses things for. If you don't like them, don't get them. Sheesh. Such a nice person.
