The way Brooke tells stories could keep me hooked for hours. I’ve never seen a second of Criminal minds but she had me gasping as if I was watching it in real time.
Brooke I am in awe how you were able to describe the most devastating episode ever without crying. I used to watch CM whenever it came on before 2011ish and that episode had such an imprint on me that I cannot even bring myself to watch it LOL
yes! spencer getting kidnapped is my fav episode of all time! the shock and terror i experienced the first time i watched…can’t even put into words how
I used to watch Criminal Minds with my family when I was younger. The reaper episode I only saw once and can truly see it frame by frame in my mind it stuck with me so much. Your retelling was on pointtt haha
Beach Read was also my first Emily Henry book, & I also rated it 3 stars, but I recently read People We Meet on Vacation & LOVED it! I ended up connecting to it way more than I anticipated & it made me realize how good a slow-burn can be. Highly recommend 🧡

Brooke I thoroughly enjoyed this episode i always find myself on and off different shows it is a constant cycle and i was on criminal minds in june and may as well and now im doing gilmore girls but ive got bored of that too so i think im going to switch back because hearing you retell these stories that were some of my favorites despite being tragic was just so amazing. I did start wailing and yelling at the tv when you were telling hotch's story because that BY FAR has to win most terrifying, most dramatic, most intense, most tragic stories that the writers came up with. Like they just took his entire life from him and it was insane. I did start crying your story telling was beautiful and it added to the sadness. Also loved Kenny and Izzy's reactions. I hope they loved this ep as much as we did!!!
btw, I think expecting to get only cheesy romance from Emily Henry's books might be a mistake. At the end of the day, her books address some serious topics like trauma, mental health, and more. What I really like about her work is how she depicts thirty-somethings trying to figure life out while experiencing romance. Her stories are about adults who have been navigating life for a while and still don’t have everything figured out. It’s a refreshing reminder that you don’t need to have all the answers, even at 30. Life isn’t easy, and the expectation that you should have it all together by a certain age is a myth. Her stories just feel very realistic to me, and that's why I devour every one of them! 'Beach Read' wasn't my favorite either. You should check out 'Funny Story!' That was my favorite for sure-one of my favorite books of the year!

I truly dont want anyone to think im trying to attack them cus they are not connected to what cody did, and I assume they didn’t know like many of us…but i guess i was wondering what is going to happen with the podcasts moving forward. I would be a little disappointed if they continued to work with him. (I totally understand they may not be able get out of a contract though) idk if i was the only one who was thinking about this

in regards to Emily Henry, i'd recommend going from Happy Place or Funny Story. This comes from someone who read Beach Read, gave it 3.5 stars, and didn't really understand what people were so obsessed with. But Brooke, her two newest books, Happy Place and Funny Story, ARE SO GOOD! Definitely pick one of those up next!
As someone who struggles to get through cheesy romance novels, A Happy Place by Emily Henry had me blushing and kicking my feet. I breezed though it in one day on the beach so I’d read that one next!
When I was a kid my parents rented out a whole movie theatre for me and my friends. And we were not rich. But im pretty sure you have to do it like on a tuesday afternoon. But you can definitely rent out a theatre!
