Don't blame Amy. But really, Amy is the top selling artist in her field. Sold 30 million albums. Several sold out arena tours. 2 tv Christmas specials. A movie on CBS. Obviously, Patti should have been in the Kennedy Honors a long time ago.
A little trip down memory line with 2 of my favorite ladies. "Everywhere I Go" was the start of my obsession with Amy Grant and her music. The beautiful reggae beat, lyric, and singing. That song is still a classic. The duet version with Patti is beautiful. I still laugh a little at the impromptu "You are My Friend" duet 2nd song. It was clear Patti and Amy did not rehearse this song. Patti just belted and did her Patti thing and let Amy figure out what to do on her own. #SMH . Even if Amy was a belter like Patti, it would've still come out a little awkward. I still love it though. It's a beautiful time capsule in both Patti and Amy's careers.

Maybe they shouldn't have had Patti screeching / wailing (I mean that in a good way, depending on the song) quite so much when they're singing together - doesn't flatter anyone else's voice she's singing with, especially when it's a mellow ballad. Or maybe they should have turned Amy's mic up just a bit.
Oh my... I forgot how big those shoulder pads were 😂....love Amy Grant! Her music is like a light and a breath of fresh air to listen too again & again.💟
