Hella saving this vid for the hopeful rerelease of this gem. Capcom already giving us the mvc rerelease and I have a good feeling this isn't too far behind.
This game has so much depth and was so well done, it was ahead of its time really. You can see why it took so long to catch on competitively and how the meta has shifted over time. In a similar way 3S kind of had the same thing too, and it's one of my favorite FGs of all time, but the depth in Cvs2 with the groove system and its roster is unparalleled. Love this game. Great job on this guide/breakdown of Hibiki, hope you are able to still find time to do stuff like this all these years later.
I feel like Hibiki would be best in A-Groove since her supers in other grooves at lvl 3 are still fairly weak. Seems she has more damage on A-groove, that and it feels like she has more options to punish opponents into Supers with her A-groove, well more optimal punishes.
Hibiki is best in K She benefits from rage a lot as a poking character. Normals do 35 percent more damage in rage, specials get a 30 percent increase and level 3 supers get a 10 percent increase. However in A groove she gets access to roll cancels. Hibiki’s damage is kinda bad in N-Groove though. But she gets RC’s and run at the same time. Something no other groove offers.
Hibiki and Rolento are quietly overpowered in very much the same, strange way: if they have a life lead & feel like being elusive? You'll spend a lot of time off the clock chasing them down, they're not engaging & punishing any mistakes for free. On a 3 character team, they can be very hard to get past as a middle character, especially if you lose to the first character. They both perform well in A groove, but have such long-range alpha counters (C groove) that they can punish many more things with alpha counter than most other characters; like mid-range projectiles.
There is no better feeling in this game than using her counter grab to then finish your opponent with the No Fear Feint. The Finest KO there is. (Also this doesn't have to be in the corner if playing a run groove)
Holy hell, I've been trying to use her just because of how cool she is, but with all the huge recoveries and long-range attacks, I figured she was a defensive character. I'll work my pressure game with her next time.
Love this one. I found her Super's combo to be quite amazing and I can main her pretty well. I took her for a test run about 10 years ago and fell in love with her there and then, not as a fictional woman character but for the bada$$ery she brings to the table.

Brother you were very much correct
I haven't played CVS2 in its heyday, but it looks like so much fun and I'm learning everything about it right now. Can't wait for the rerelease!
Hibiki is my JAM. I'm just so glad she comin' round the mountain again for one last hurrah! 👍👍👍
This was one of my mains heavily in this game. Just thought to look her up and found this. Very nice work. Well put together and detailed.
Thanks.
I find Hibiki so difficult to play correctly but satisfying when things work out.
Well done.
Hibiki i've always found to be such a beautiful character. I am looking forward to mastering her execution in this upcoming re-release.

Stumbled upon this randomly from YT suggestions. Very thoughtful guide. Kudos!

Man u need to make more of these for cvs2. These are outstanding and in-depth!! Subscribed hoping for more!
My only critique is man u should get on the mic and read ur text.

She's my favorite character that's the only character I've played with on this game

Thanks for making a guide for Hibiki, glad to see this game still has content created for it. :)
thanks for the guide! :)
Thank u very much
I used to always use hibiki with c-grove
I play Last Blade and was curious how Hibiki was in this game.
I wonder how many of these older videos are gonna get spikes in views once the new collection comes out.

The beginning music from the last blade 2 is so nostalgic.
Haohmaru guide please!

I'm back, great guide!
Is Hibiki’s dodge useful for anything? I don’t see it used often.
She's using a fighting style call battojutsu
why did you stop making vids?
There's way more knowledgable people doing the same thing now, I'm not needed. I don't really know how to play the game to be honest.
Do you have any common confirms besides throw for her A groove activate, or is that really the only one?
Well activating itself, has invincibility so you can use it to punish stuff. I don't know any combos into Custom combo besides maybe the counter
How exactly did you get the aerial drift after Instant Overhead j.lk?
Not sure what you mean by that, guessing you're referring to the mixups or pressure section?
If you mean why she flew back. it's because I did a back jump instant overhead, which leaves you safe afterwards.
name of the last song?
Hmm don't remember but it's part of the OST from Last Blade 2 if I recall correctly
@@MasterLuke_Video_Games thank you
What button do you end Root 2 on to get the Meterless combo to hit after the rave super?
nvm!
Looks like Medium Kick (st.mk), Not the last hit, but the one before it.
Subbed 💕💕💕💕💕
What is x?
You mean xx? it means cancel, like a special cancel usually
@@MasterLuke_Video_Games ok thanks,I play on ps2 and I'm not much to know everything
