That’s a good way to put it. It is kinda nice to see him not be good at something right off the bat and to watch him struggle a little bit but he’ll have that car learned in no time after fixing the brakes and that tire wobble. He’s a perfectionist, he has to be good at it.
This was the first event I had been to in person and it was amazing!!! I came along way from Idaho for my 21st birthday and it was worth it!! What I think you're experiencing on those brake lines is called line-lock. When the inside of the rubber tubes fray from heat and only having "pressure" moving one way in the hose! replace all the rubber brake hoses with high-heat racing hoses and you'll be fine.
Brake hoses are the problem and the tell tale sign would be darkened fluid seen when the cylinder was changed.. brake fluids won't last a season as hot as you get those brakes.
I'm thinking there's a chunk of something in the proportioning valve. If that's clogged or came apart internally, that would give all sorts of weird results. And as others have said I'd be stunned that a full race car with a modded front end still had factory hoses... I'm impressed they even reach!
I remember arguing with dudes in LZs comments 2 and 3 years ago saying he wasn't good enough to compete he was only getting these opportunities because his followers. Dude is as legit as they come. He puts in the work and the time. Cleetus is another natural and as long as he sticks with it will be a competitor too. He just does to many different things he's not going to master them all. But it's a lot of fun just to be able to do all the things lol

I remember watching you when Taylor Ray first came out to teach you how to drift, the improvement you have made since then is incredible. You had a really solid chase and the lead was really good until you hit that grass.

Yeah, while I'm not a fan of the drift world and much of what Adam does, I really like him as a person/entertainer. His LZ compound videos were up my alley and I watched his garage videos and certainly didn't mind seeing his cute ex in the earlier videos. The videos with him and Cleetus together are great. I wish I was more into his sport so I could enjoy his main content as well.

So much easier to drag the brakes in a car that’s super loose and torquey, and just take your time. A car like the mustang that’s hooked up and way more temperamental with the power band is a completely different animal.

You know, I feel like drifting needs something in addition to the normal competition. Watching neighbor makes me think we need a team tandem class where the target speed is important, so tons of left foot braking, and close proximity where the cars are working together to provide a gnarly smoke filled tandem show. I know people do this for exhibitions basically, but it should be an event I think.
It seems like the amount of speed everyone wants to carry through those curves, you might as well just add like 4 ft of asphalt where the grass is chewed up and you and everyone can huck it in alot better without tearing the grass up every time! Great content man!
I don't know folks. This just doesn't do it for me. Rather see race cars doing timed laps around a road course. Sort of a stadium rally car race. Good to see Coop there.
Hey Cleet, you really do need more seat time in drifting. You’re still relatively new and have now been thrust into competition among the best drifters in the world, driving a pro car. That’s like waking up one day and deciding you want to do formula 1. This stuff takes years to get good at. If you want to do better and be a more serious contender, you gotta put in the seat time to gain consistency and hone in your fundamental skills. We all really want to see you progress and be the best driver you can be! Just gotta put in that seat time.

Cleetus, I'm not sure if anyone has said this or not. Check your master cylinder pushrod adjustment. If the pushrod has preload on it, the port in the master will be covered causing your brakes to self apply when they're hot.

You know, I feel like drifting needs something in addition to the normal competition. Watching neighbor makes me think we need a team tandem class where the target speed is important, so tons of left foot braking, and close proximity where the cars are working together to provide a gnarly smoke filled tandem show. I know people do this for exhibitions basically, but it should be an event I think.
Have you been to FD? It's the most exciting motorsport I've seen and I've been to everything from pikes peak to dirt track

It seems like the amount of speed everyone wants to carry through those curves, you might as well just add like 4 ft of asphalt where the grass is chewed up and you and everyone can huck it in alot better without tearing the grass up every time! Great content man!
I don't know folks. This just doesn't do it for me. Rather see race cars doing timed laps around a road course. Sort of a stadium rally car race. Good to see Coop there.
Hey Cleet, you really do need more seat time in drifting. You’re still relatively new and have now been thrust into competition among the best drifters in the world, driving a pro car. That’s like waking up one day and deciding you want to do formula 1. This stuff takes years to get good at. If you want to do better and be a more serious contender, you gotta put in the seat time to gain consistency and hone in your fundamental skills. We all really want to see you progress and be the best driver you can be! Just gotta put in that seat time.
I'd rather watch dump truck racing than formula uun.

You have the car, the skills, car control and eagerness to do great and you will do. Don't be down on yourself champ as you are making all your fans and followers proud my man. How good is Adam LZ in his beast of a car !! and to give you the advice and encouragement is great to see, love the comradery in drifting.....that's why I love it so much, what an awesome sport and to be at the Freedom Factory is fantastic 👍

Sweet event ! Put som curbs down like the white and red "and why not blue" to help with the cars not running out into the gras! Curbs are usually a tad above the tarmac so the cars leans towards them helping them to stay on the track!

hey cleetus don't don't get mad be glad you're not hurt and you can always replace a drift car but nothing can replace you my friend keep working on it practice makes you better then when you have your first clean drift competition win you will look back and say HELL YEAH BROTHER.
Cleetus, I'm not sure if anyone has said this or not. Check your master cylinder pushrod adjustment. If the pushrod has preload on it, the port in the master will be covered causing your brakes to self apply when they're hot.
