Try playing Samba pa ti (Carlos Santana) fingerstyle to exploit its resonant and sustaining tones and overtones. I’ve got one 2 years old now and it sounds absolutely beautiful. A solid spruce top improves with age and mine with new strings certainly does! Very well made but the action was very slightly too high for me so I sanded down the plastic bridge saddle. Plays perfectly now. I do not use fingernails. My fingers give even closer intimacy with the strings. Quite a high volume guitar even without being amplified. 👍👆
I enjoyed your review. I played an NCX-1C in a guitar store yesterday. I loved the tone, the setup on the guitar (action was decently low), but there's something about it, which I can't quite put my finger on that doesn't seem as comfortable as some other classicals I've played. I'm not sure if it's because it's a cutaway that it doesn't sit quite as well in my lap, or the angle of the neck, or the body maybe being a bit thin. I had the feeling while I was in the store that I wasn't seeing the fingerboard as well as some guitars. I picked up my Yamaha C40 this morning and I can't say I notice much of a difference, although I think it does sit a bit more comfortably in the lap. Not sure if you'd have any insights into the body being thinner, or the angle of the neck, or the cutaway vs. non-cutaway, or the visibility of the fingerboard.
It’s definitely the feel of the cutaway compared to a traditional construction. I have an NTX 1 which is much slimmer but prefer the N C X 1. I find it a joy to play however you do need to get used to the cutaway. 👍
the wooden structure on the back and on the sides is so beautiful. bummer that they did not continue that look at the front. anyways...a superb instrument! how was the playability / hight of the strings? is it light playable?
So I’m on the fence for either ntx1 or the NCX1FM. I’ve watched your videos, and have loved your honesty and kindness. What I’m looking to find out is how does the sound compare unplugged? Is the NCX FM really that much more full and rich compared to the NTX1. Thanks mate!
Hello very good I bought a guitar cordoba c3m and c5 From a site in Morocco both I did not like it so bad with manufacturing defects I think they sell defective products without declaring them , is what you know a classic brand much better than that
I got shafted by CORDOBA too. My C5ce's bridge literally exploded while it was on the stand and because I didn't have the receipt , refused to do absolutely anything for me. I even asked if they would give me a coupon, nothing..... Buyer beware. They used to be a top company but it seems like they've slipped.
Sorry fair comment will be playing it on a video this week just finished a couple of new instrumentals. Will post a link here when it’s up so you can hear the quality of it 👍
I have a great deal of respect for your reviews! Ty for helping me with my purchase!
Thank you 👍

That’s great to hear, I don’t have long finger nails either. Will try out Samba pa ti 👍👍
Thanks for the excellent review Jack. Did you add the golpeodor? What is it like for flamenco? Thanks, Bill
No it came with that, it’s great for Flamenco by the way 👍
Thanks for the reply Jack, it looks like a guitar I should look at for flamenco mostly, with a bit of classical and folk.
You are Brilliant!! I love your reviews! I am looking for a good classical guitar for under 1k. Is this the one you would recommend?
@@chipbellpickleball1177 most definitely it’s the best classical I own. Thanks for dropping by 👍

Plays really well in fact finding it difficult to put it down. Height of the strings fine may need to be a touch lower but I will get that sorted.

In my humble opinion the NCX1 FM has a warmer fuller sound and is an absolute joy to play. So for me it just beats the NTX 1. I hope that helps 👍

That must have been really disappointing, you would expect better quality from Cordoba.

Ok just posted a sound review with three pieces so you can hear how it sounds if you are still interested ; th-cam.com/video/3wmEbIL82-w/w-d-xo.html
He literally said in the video “I’m not going to play this, I have plenty of other videos playing it”
If you’re saying he talks too much that must mean you heard him say he’s got other videos of him playing it and this is a review
