As someone who is new to church communications and social media for churches, you have continuously helped me shift my perspective. These are great reminders to anchor to! It's been killer lately trying to keep up.
This is such a brilliant format for this video- the lifestyle blog style keeps you entertained and focused so that the point you're trying to make isn't white noise. Really great idea! I will definitely be trying something like this with my church.
Much needed reminders this morning, thanks for the reminder that it's ok to slow down, focus up, and not be trying to do every single possible thing. The social overwhelm has been crushing the last few months!
Spot on! These guidelines are ESSENTIAL for anyone managing social media in a spiritual setting. Engaging with grace, sharing inspiring content, and building a community online reflects the values at the heart of any congregation. Let's use these platforms to uplift and unite. 🙌💡🕊
Great stuff! Also, impressed by Alex at lunch not even looking into the camera during tip 3. It was like watching a show where the surrounding people are unaware that the main character was speaking to the audience. Well done.
Rule #2 is so key. I work for a TH-camr making dashcam compilation videos. We eventually realized that every time we include any clips from a particular country-even just one clip-that whole video will bomb. We stopped accepting clips from that country, and the whole channel does better as a result. Another time, we realized we were numbering our clips counting up (#1, #2, etc.) and decided to try numbering them in reverse (#20, #19, etc.). We didn't change the actual order of the clips. The very best clip is still at the front, and a funny clip is always last, but we just changed the number slides from ascending to descending. Retention instantly went up 10% (I have theories for why, but that doesn't matter). Test, test, test! You can always go back to the way you used to do things if it doesn't work.
Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode of George eating his chocolate bars with a fork and knife. Sipping your coffee through a straw? That's the *refined* way of drinking coffee.
so this is probably a dumb question lol, but how do you get the content for your posts? do you set up your own cameras and equipment or do you just use the live stream cameras the churches already have?

And my experience is that the pull will always be there. So it's a regular habit of making sure we're taking care of ourselves.
Another one 🙌 the hard work is certainly providing value. Thank you
Love this, thanks Brady!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Both fascinating insights. Counting backwards, I love that.
@@prochurchtools also what are you driving? I recently got a 2022 Model 3 Standard and I’m loving it. Looks like you enjoy Autopark as well 😉
Coffee straw. Your teeth are blessed. I can’t do the added step of inconvenience. Good on you!

Great points, Brady! LOVE the background music! Where have you been getting the light jazz you've been using lately??

I think for most churches repurposing content from their existing live streams is more than sufficient!
How do you do that soft dirty-lens lens look? Is it a physical treatment? Or done in post?
Mist filter
what camera bag is that?
The handheld one? Grams28 133.
