People always moan about open air audiences being dull, but it's usually daylight so you see more of the audience, the audience may not be into the band that's on stage, there's a bloody great gap between the front row and the stage and maybe, just maybe, the ones in the audience that DO like the band just wanted to watch and listen?
You didn't see to the side of stage and patches throughout? Almost impossible to get those front positions on a day like that. Besides, don't you hear the applause at the end?
Great performance... As stated already, LAME audience.. Seems like some questions from the lame crowd might be..."Where is the screaming??" or " Where is the bigda bigida?" or "My older (insert person here, i.e. friend, older sibling...) told me about melody and harmonies".
Breathtaking
Watching Bob always makes me want to purchase a strat
The spirit of amazing Husker du live.....!
Awesome
the guy has a killer tone!
Jon Wurster is really killing it on drums, too.
It was actually really awesome
How the fuck did I miss this gig? I see Bob almost every time he plays the Twin Cities, but missed this one somehow.
It’s possible you didn’t pay attention to the concert listings around the time this happened. Hope that explains it.
The bass player is from Chicago 80's kid punk band Verboten...

Looks like the crowd was expecting Katy Perry.
