Depends. If you play it right, stay behind your squad, and make your life’s goal to keep the others alive, it’s definitely good. You can learn a lot from seeing how your squadmates fight. That being said, if you want to play aggressive and be more of an active participant, just grab rifleman, cuz a dead medic is no use to anyone.
I am still relatively new, I would recommend joining the servers labelled noob friendly, then ask others what to do. Also another beginner friendly kit is grenadier. (Only shoot nades at troops trust me you might think it will harm vehicles, no it won’t)
I personally recommend rifleman at first. It’s the simplest and most effective kit, with the sole purpose of shooting enemies and dropping ammo for your squad in the form of an ammo bag. If you play medic it can be more overwhelming if you’re new because not only are you trying to just stay alive yourself, but you now also need to keep others alive. Also, since you’re new you might not be able to tell where you are being shot from at first, which will result in you dying more easily and teammates might get annoyed. Once you’ve gotten comfortable with the flow of the game and positioning, then I would recommend expanding to play medic. Also, let your squad leader know you are new at the beginning of the game and ask questions.
LOL I killed dozens of teammates in my first days of Squad. Now it's been 50+ hours of game and I'm learning new roles and look at the map all the time to avoid killing my friends. I felt frustated at the beginning because of this, but it's all about paying attention to the map an where friendlies are. It takes a very high notion of space to play this game right.
@@jayjohnson-t2y that footage looks far from Squad, colors in ukraine video looks gritty, cloud looks bit gray, and polymesh looks awesome, meanwhile graphics in squad, everything looks vibrant, different from footages in ukraine and middle east.. and polymesh looks garbage af.. dude i think you need to check ready or not, this game using unreal engine 4 same like squad, but graphics 100 times better
yep your right i wasnt specifically referring to the colour and graphics but more the gameplay and the 'feel' of immersion. as a former marine i can attest that squad and arma are provably closest we will get, i feel squad feels more realistic in terms of gameplay and 'feeling emersed in firefights' just by observation tho. but your right about grpahics they need tone it down its too colourful and the previous updates before overhaul it was starting to look abit cartoony like HLL. they really need to bring it back to how it used to be around its early release it was more gritty and less vibrant. i do understand what your saying tho@@Knight-Orthodox p.s yes ready or not its great, i think the next gen types of these particular games will be crazy realistic but what we really need is PROPER VR with these games esp squad, that would bring it to next level and i can guarantee its the closest you civi's will get to what it feels like to be in firefights. unless you play airsoft matches or paintball. etc
I just got my PC yesterday and first game I got was Squad, I absolutely love it.

I recommend you watch karmakut's squad beginners guide on TH-cam, it's really good for beginners

Thoughts on ICO?
At first I didn't really like the changes but then I started to play the game a bit slower and just adapted my play style.

Men graphics looks colorful, cartoonish.. not fit with military simulation.. glad they not add rainbow

Real life isn't a monochrome filter buddy.
