I just realized I need to start implementing this refresh routine, my hair gets insanely dry in between washes and this 5 step process looks like the secret weapon. Thanks!!
I didn't believe the hype at first, but my Rev Air has saved me from the breakage I get from blow drying at home. My stylist does a much better job than me (no breakage with her technique), but I only get my hair styled 2-3 times a year. It's fast, easy and my hair is stretched, even more than a blow dryer blowout. 😃
Thank you for this video! Usually I braid my hair straight from wash day, I use a leave in cream, oil and a mousse. It gives me amazing definition, but it shrinks up really bad and I still get fairy knots on my ends. So I want to learn how to stretch my hair, that way I can avoid knots, see length and retain it
Same but I do twist outs. Though I heard that braids stretch out the hair more than twists so what you're doing is actually already stretching the hair. The more I re-braid my hair the more stretched my hair gets. Though I also still get fairy knots and just try to be more gentle and patient with my hair, not rushing anything and taking my time
@@della9884 you know what! I don’t re-braid my hair I just tie a scarf around my hair every night. Im going to re-braid it at night to get more stretch, thanks for mentioning that.
Gorgeous hair. Yes, I was a fan of the stretch. Shrinkage played zero games with me. I'm loc'd now, but I had to comment on such a lovely head of healthy afro hair.😍
Your hair is gorgeous! ❤❤But be very careful about not using too many products with the revair. It creates a caked gunk residue buildup inside the hose and wand overtime that could lead to machine malfunctions, and the warranty doesn’t protect that. ( I have one😅) Keep the products minimal before you rev and add products afterwards to maintain the life of your machine. 🥰 You and your hair have been thriving all these years! So awesome to see!!❤❤
Your hair is so thick, healthy, and beautiful! 😍 I'm going to have to try those 20 + braids (besides length retention). I'm prone to matting (my kid too) and one or two braids doesn't help... icky summer weather doesn't help either.
Your hair looks very healthy. Last year (2022), I got frustrated and flat iron the back of my head only. It was OK. But at 63, too much work. Two weeks ago (2023), I flat iron the back again. I felt it was a waste of time. I do back only because middle back is a tight 4c (4d). My top hair has some straight hair mixed in, so heat would not be a good idea (I keep them cut short). I usually feel this way once a year...I can't take it a.n.y.m.o.r.e!! Funny, it last a day then I'm fine. It's just my back section that makes me feel this away (matted, tangles...no matter what I do). It took/takes me an hour to straighten my back only. Once a year is fine. At 63, I don't have energy to be holding up my arms. But you look very beautiful!
Your stretch routine is impressive! I normally do 2-strand twists but I like how you did yours. I never thought to use an antifrizz serum, I’ll add that to my routine. ❤
Your braids look so good and thick. If I did 24 braids that would be some boneless skinny thing 😂 When I do 6-8 braids in total that is when one of my braid has the thickness of one of your braids. You hair is so beautiful 😍
Congratulations on the 60k!! I need a revair to do more stretch routines. These dry ends…I wonder if you are due for a good trim? The braids looked really really good!
I've been using IC Fantasia heat protectant and Elasta QP Curl Wax (the green one now; the pink one earlier), and use the Revlon 2000 concentrator and comb attachments about three to four times a year to stretch my hair. Styling is usually two strand twists, flat twists, or Bantu knots. Your routine works so well. 😊
Myy hair is currently colored but I'm pretty sure even my virgin hair loves humidity and hates heat lol. So just twists out and air drying for me. Years ago my hair got seriously damaged probably because I was not using any protein and I was constantly stretching it with threading. So I also think my hair does not like to be stretched too much.
Nice. I was under the impression that you couldn't use product on your hair with the revair. I stretch my hair without heat bcus i have fine strands but a lot of hair and my blow dryer gives me heat damage and i use a heat protective. So i just stretch without heat and it works great. Im using bond builers and aphogee 2min reconstruction to build my strands back up.
Thank you for this, so helpful! Your hair is stunning! I've noticed a lot of knotting when I use the RevAir on freshly washed hair, almost as if the coils in my hair get tangled in the hose during the stretching process. Do you think stretching my hair in twists/braids first would help me avoid this?
@@apara2005Try Black Castor Oil (Jamaican or Haitian) directly on your scalp (not your hair!) right after wash day routine is done and massage for 5min-10min 2-3 times over the 7 days every week. Do this consistently for 3 months…..Hopefully you will see some thickness returning and healthiness of your strands in that amount of time! 🥰
Your hair is so thick you really don't need extensions. Does the Garnier frizz spray really work? Thinking of trying it. I don't use heat. My hair can't take it.
Love the Rev Air but I don’t bother stretching my hair in the summer. Where I live there is too much humidity and my hair reverts back to curly to soon. Your hair looks great. 🌼🌻🌼
Your hair looks beautiful but I'm wondering about your using oils and butters with the ReVair because mine said I should not but I really want to because I sent a dryness after and I'm also not able to lock in moisture. I would generally put the oil on after I dried it. I might try your heat protectant because I don't like mine but are you sensing that you might be damaging the device by using the oils?😊
@@jsbreezy oh I need to look for that because my instructions said not to use oils prior to using the device. Wish they had updated me and an email because maybe my hair would feel better using the oils or a butter. OR, maybe they just want us to wear it outside after so we'll have to spend big bucks and buy another.
@@SharmaineJoyel Okay, I consulted my manual: "Squeeze out or towel dry excess water . . . If a section becomes too dry, lightly respray with water to re-dampen the hair . . . any leave-in product should be applied sparingly. Do not saturate the hair with leave-in hair care products, oils, or water to the point of dripping. Avoid using sticky fixatives before revving." So I guess as long as you don't use glue or gel, or the hair isn't sticky or absolutely dripping with product you can use what you like, just have to be careful not to overdo it. I know I like to use a *small* amount of leave-in and heat protectant, and that seems to work.

This is a great video. This is a good way for me to use my Revair & keep my hair under control. Lol
Wow, your hair is so thick! 😩😩😩😩 My hair isn't as thick as it was when I was younger. That's ok! I just keep pushin'! 😁

This is a solid routine! You've inspired me a bit with my hair care now as I tend to get very lazy.
The RevAir was wayyy to big, bulky, and heavy for me--but I'm happy it works for you!
Sooooo beautiful!! 😍❤
I tried the stretch technique with a blow dryer and then gave up because my arms are weak 😂

I stretch my hair with constant re-braiding after washing
Try stretching your twists and braids after you braid/twist. It goes much faster 🙌🏾

I was wondering this too. I know someone who's Revair stopped working because they used product before drying.
Just looked on the website and they have a list of products that you can and can't use. I'll be adding more products next wash!

Never mind you said the answer lol

I need to blow out my sections one at a time. I did my whole head at once and by the time I started braiding, my roots had reverted. 😅
So ,it feels ok to you to detangle your hair with the Felicia brush?
Yes :)
I thought it said in the RevAir manuel not to use it with products in your hair. I could be wrong though. Your hair turned out nice.
It did but I'm a rebel lol 😆
@@SharmaineJoyel 🤣🤣
I just used my RevAir without any products yesterday and my hair felt so stiff. I might have to bypass that instruction as well.
Do you have any cons regarding the Rev Air dyer?
Not so far 😊
Isn't it not recommended to use too much product before putting hair into the revair?
I know the instructions said not to put hair that is soaking wet into it 🤔
