I've posted the setups for both cars on Yannick's Discord in times-and-setups a few weeks ago, so you've got direct access to both cars already 😉 And those base setups I use for every track as well, so I've already given away my setup secrets lol Rollbars (especially front) are much softer than default, with a stiffer rear rollbar than front too to induce more oversteer... Spring rates aren't that different for these lightweight cars, the heavier cars I run a bit softer though I'm working that out still. Differential is 30/60/2 on Targa... What I kind of do is slow down into a corner somewhat and then let the car run neutral with no throttle/brake for a while, which is when cornering starts, using the throttle-off coast on the diff (and the nose down with the soft rollbar compared to default) to get initial rotation in the car going and then slamming back on the throttle to power out of the corner. So brake - off throttle - sharp turn in - on throttle It's not quite a Scandinavian Flick (at least from memory cause the last time I played a rally game was probably 2009 😛 ) cause I'm not turning in the opposite direction normally but it has a similar setup with weight transfer etc. Also the cars really just have tons of grip, you just have to believe in them cause they keep on giving grip even after you think you're at the limit already 😀 Hopefully something in this helps you out for the next time you race these Sportscars, you got real close at Brno with sub-10 minute laps for a track where track knowledge was at a similar level for all of us
I’ve done around 300 laps on Abulzz’s Targa since I switched over to AC. The GPL version does have its charm, even though those cars are looking a lot quicker than they should be. I remember having a very competitive 5 lap race in GPL with pit stops against the ai.
Yeah, the cars are a bit fast compared to reality, and a lot faster than the original version of the mod too. Still fun machinery and a challenge though on the best track around. 300 laps is a very solid amount regardless of the track version too 🙂 I played a tiny bit of Assetto a few years ago before my previous PC failed, I need to catch back up to the 2020's and experience something a bit more 'modern' again lol
Amazing laps and commentary !
Are you using some setup to make the car turns that easily, or is that just driving technic ?
