Her vibrato add more to the deliciousness of her voice, plus her power is explosive.
When JHud hits her Bb5's, they sound like a machine. Also, when she was performing Aretha songs on a late night show, she hit three C6's with ease. Her voice is getting better and better.
Actually, I think both kinda sound metallic (at least how they usually use their voices) They both kinda sound like the sounds of a machine working, Like power with a natural reverb that curbs the otherwise grating sound of metal. Like the... Passive ambience of an industrial city or something like that. Jennifer's voice is kinda like the passive sound of a medieval oil industrial area. Rumbling, the scraping of oil-covered cogs, a free sound that's so loud and sounds so much larger than yourself that you almost feel your hair resting against your back raise because of the intense volume that you're hearing. Too much reverb to truly be either a rumble or a scrape. They kinda blend together to create a sound that has the best characterstics of each part. Jessie's on the other hand is more of a quiet hum. Plasma, Tesla coils maybe with the slight dripping of water. It's... matte, Kind of a little dangerous. I'm getting flooded delapidated lab with working electricity vibes. It's the kinda vibe that has a story. Yeahhh that was cringe but honestly I don't really know how to describe their voices. They share a lot similarities, but... kind of not at the same time? Idk man voices are weird when you think about it.
Jennifer can sustain slightly higher notes when belting, and Jessie has the better vocal agility (but Jennifer Hudson isn't really one to use her vocal agility very much). The both have a really good vibrato, Jennifer's is on the slower side, but it's a good kind of slow... kinda like Mariah Carey's, but with more soul. Jessie's is quicker, but it's well-developed and has great support. Jessie has more range when it comes to lower notes and high notes in head and whistle register. I can't really choose. They're both a few of the best singers that the 2010s and 2020s has to offer, just better in different areas than others. I will say, though... Jennifer Hudson did a more accurate cover of "I Will Always Love You" when honoring Whitney Houston. But Jessie J's performance of "My Heart Will Go On" was one of her best performances of her career.

Spinto's have the range of Lyric Sopranos. However, because they have thicker/weightier vocal folds, they are able to stay higher longer. When it comes to Sopranos, being a Lyric is the most common. Spintos are the rarest.
They're both great and it was a tie in mid belting. They both were great. Once it went to E5 and beyond, J Hud took it because she has soooo much stamina in high belting.

Large voice with a lot of body, more power and a little heavy, similar to the dramatic lyric soprano. Jessie J. is an almost light lyric soprano. Voice with less body, less power and less heavy with more agility. both are incredible. to make comparisons they have to be soprano spinto vs soprano spinto. or soprano lirica vs soprano lirica.
