Here in Winter Haven Florida we have a very large resistance against the unsheltered homeless population.
What is so controversial about this matter is that there is an absence of homeless shelter. There are faith-based ministries that offer food assistance that most assume because of the response is a homeless shelter. So the unsheltered homeless are being targeted and arrested while the presence of homeless shelter is missing making survival extremely difficult. Most are arrested on a monthly basis for trespassing.
Let it be known that some are being arrested for ordinance violations, a situation where they are not offered legal representation by the Public defenders office. A violation of their 8th Amendment rights as there is no legal representation for the charges arrested and jailed for.
