  • Hey! Guess who's back?! At the end of my first contract... I have a lot to share with you guys about that. BUT FIRST, the Leopalace tour I've meant to do for ages but never got around to...
    Basic stats about my Leopalace:
    - 2DK (I think I said something about a "LDK" or a "living room" in the video... Ignore that, I'm dumb)
    - 40.95 m2
    - Furnished (fridge, microwave, AC, table, TV, Internet)
    - ~72,000 yen a month, not including utilities
    - Found through company of employment and they are the guarantor
    --♥---♥---♥--
    If you have any other questions, let me know! (Housing in Japan can be tricky....)
    Remember to like and subscribe if you liked the video! Thanks!

    Thanks for making this vid! Well timed, cuz I'm moving to Shizuoka next week to work for Interac and will be living in a LeoPalace apartment as well.
    よろしくおねがいします!

      +EricBowmanTOX Very cool! Congrats on the offer and great placement as well! Since you have a Leopalace, I assume Interac found it for you?

    Nice room!
    I used to live in Nishinomiya as a student until this March, and I think it's comfortable city to live.
    Not too crowded,but convenient to go to anywhere in Kansai.
    Hope you'll enjoy staying in Japan.
    Good luck!

      I agree 100%! Before going to Japan, I didn't even know where Nishinomiya was but it's definitely one of my favorite places in Japan now :)

    I've seen like 40+ videos on Japanese apartment tours & the most common comment I hear is "I don't know where to put it" & "there's not enough storage". I just wonder why no one knows where to put things when there seems to be more then enough space to put things away. a great example was your tension rod system in the toilet room.

      I think a lot of people (myself included) come from countries where storage solutions are a lot more obvious than in Japan. They're used to dresses and cabinets, etc. but the sad truth is that there's usually not enough room for those big pieces of furniture (and if you have room, the pieces themselves don't come cheap!) and so people get confused as to what to do. The longer I live in Japan, the more creative my storage systems become hahaha

      Hello Nihon that is so true. I would have come up with a cubby system! buy a bunch of small storage bins from daiso and go to town lol

    Do you have the option to renew your contract? or they will end your contract right away after the school year has ended and will let you leave the country? Thanks for the video!

    • @hellonihon3543
      @hellonihon3543  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! You can say you'd like to renew your contract but that doesn't mean you'll actually be renewed. You'll generally find that out about a month before your contract ends (not a lot of time!) then they'll generally give you 2 weeks after your last day before you have to move out (either find a new job and place or leave the country). But in my case, my contract ended with my branch, then I moved to a different branch within Interac to start a new contract.

      How frequently do they not renew? Were you able to renew?

    • @hellonihon3543
      @hellonihon3543  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      therosewebbb hi! It depends on your branch. Sometimes contracts change or are lost (in my case) so they don't have anywhere to put you, which is why there can be done contract confusion. However, most branches (like my current branch) realize that it's easier to renew contracts (even if you're not a good alt) than to go through the hassle of hiring someone new... Which means contracts are easily and readily available throughout the years.

    Your apartment look beautiful especially in the pajamas. 😊 May I ask? If I order on Japanese sites like amazon.co.jp, Peach John, Une Nana Cool, etc. Do I usually add the floor number (2F) or room number attach to my Japanese address to receive my mail for delivery? (Room example: 203)
    Please help

    • @hellonihon3543
      @hellonihon3543  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha you're making me blush ;) As for your question, room numbers in Japan are organized by floor, so "2F #203" would be redundant. You could just put #203 and it's good! :) (But you definitely need the room number in the address!)

      The lack of windows was one of my biggest complaints about this apartment! (I can't remember if I mentioned that or not.) But as long as the video helps someone looking for an apartment in Japan, that's all that matters hehehe
