Miracle story with this song:
It was a very sad morning for my family and I when a woodpecker bird fell over for dead when it hit a window on my cabin. Woodpeckers have been very special to us as a blessing encouragement from the Lord, so with that, it was even more distressing. I cried as my dad held him in his hands, and my mom laid hands on him, asking Jesus if this special little bird could live.
They laid him in a box with grass and water. My mom encouraged me with Jesus' words... " Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10: 29-31 I knew from experience that I had to trust the Lord, even when the answer to our prayer may be "no".
My husband checked on him throughout the day. ( I didn't have the heart to see the little bird dead) Later that evening, in search of encouragement I opened youtube and this was the first song in my feed. I had never heard of the artist, but was led to click. I started listening, but was distracted and didn't get to listen.
9 hours later, because it was late I asked my mom to set the bird box higher so the dogs would not get to it. " He's not in here" she said. "What do you mean?" I asked back. "He's not there?" " No, he's not here" she replied. I quickly asked my dad and husband, "Did you guys move the woodpecker?" They said no, he was in the box on the deck! I immediately knew that God had raised him up!!!!! Mom's prayer was answered! With outstretched hands, and tears, and gratefulness, I cried my thanks to Jesus for the amazing miracle he allowed us to witness!!! Praise the Lord!!! I also immediately was led to come back to this song titled " Rise Up" ! I was in amazement, and tears again when she sang the line... Rise up rise up, with healing in your wings, to make a way where there is no way. Rise up rise up, bring life into lifelessness. Rise up rise up! 😭Wow! What amazing conformation of the Lord's healing and raising the bird up!
As you can imagine, we were so encouraged, having this experience of God's power right before our eyes. I know the Lord allowed all this to happen for a reason. I wanted to share this story in hopes to encourage all of you who read this comment and hear this song... that whatever you're going through right now...the Lord sees, and knows. There is nothing out of His control. He cares for the little things in our lives, oh how he LOVES us, how he yearns to show us His goodness, how he longs to be our savior and friend. He makes a way where there is no way. He will fight for YOU.

I am the mom that prayed asking the Lord to give this little guy life as my daughter was so distraught at the apparent loss of this beautiful bird. The confirmation of this story came when we saw the little guy on the tree right next to the area where he was "raised up". Absolutely amazing experience of how much God CARES. A reminder of His great power and that nothing is too big....or small...for Him! As a matter of fact Impossible is God's Specialty! We named him Enoch. 🥰 some of you will "get it" and enjoy the name's double meaning. 😂 This beautiful song is now on repeat!
Oh my goodness... such a blessing to my weary and very hard to trust heart.. I too have such a tender heart for the beautiful birds God created, and cry when their little lives get taken suddenly.. I am 66 and just the past 3 years am trying to learn to trust God. Growing up in a pastoral family where every kind of abuse was daily, I did not learn of a loving and Saving God😢but God opened my eyes and ears to be able to learn of Him now and my prayer is to trust Him and to live Him. Your story was so touching, and I thank you for sharing God's love ❤️.. which I will just end with my small story.. I sit outside every morning just taking in what is around me. I had put up a hummingbird feeder and was waiting patiently for a visit. Several days went by and nothing...so one morning I said Jesus, would you please send a hummingbird to my feeder? I opened my eyes and thought, He can't possibly care about something so trivial...but to my surprise and delight, there came a hummingbird!! I thanked Jesus, and prayed that He woukd help my unbelief🙏✝️ thank you again for sharing!

Amen. Thank God that we now live in the days of the Gospel, not the Law. "Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." We shouldn't be judging and condemning other Christians as heretics, or literally attacking and enslaving unbelievers.
I appreciate your comment however, I believe Galatians 6:1 is saying, as Christians, we should righteously correct unrighteous behavior.
Roman's 7:7 also teaches us that without the Law, "how would we know sin?"
All of scripture is for our benefit. To disregard what has been named "Old Testament" is to disregard the beginning of understanding and wisdom. 📖
The law gives us guidance with which to live. I for one, choose to look at history to learn it all.

For example, the Torah forbids a man from "lying with a man as with a woman", but the Gospel tells us that "there is no male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." As for Christians who vaingloriously seek to "righteously correct unrighteous behavior" that they see in others, "you hypocrite! first remove the plank from your own eye; then you will see clearly to remove the speck of sawdust from your brother's eye" (Matthew 7:5).
