- This video tells about Secret Chola Tunnels of Thanjavur Brihadeeswarar temple. There is believed to be a whopping 40km long underground tunnel from the Thanjavur Brihadeeswarar temple to the Ganagaikonda Cholapuram temple built by the Gangaikonda Chola king. The entrance and exit tunnels are still visible when visiting the temples. Its is said, this is the tunnel where Vandhiyadevan and Nandini met.

It brings tears of joy when I see such marvellous creations like these temples by our great kings of the past, but I feel ashamed and guilty when I get to see how it is maintained by us today. I am pretty sure if this temple was in some other country or even some other state in our own country it would have been well maintained and may have become one among the wonders of the world.
These temples are maintained very well . Specially gangai konda sozapuram. In case of special events they lightbit well.
