New Sun Visors for the Notchback

I got some brand new TMI sun visors for Christmas.
So excited to get them installed and see how pretty they were in the car, I failed to realize my clips were wrong.
Always learning. Often, the hard way!

I remember swapping some (possibly original) nice shape black visors for white ones and had some issues.

Know the feeling, been there a few times, but not with sun visors though.
Just wondering, would it work if you removed the clip piece, inserted a long enough length of wooden or plastic rod into the visor, then re attached the clip with it all in place. You wouldn't be able to swing the visor to the side, but at least it would swing up and down, hopefully anyway.

Absolutely. On the right side I could also wait to extend the hinge point, pushing the pin into the clip. But, I’d really rather get the correct type of clips! Let’s hope I can find that
