- HI FRIENDS!!
First and foremost I just want to say that I am SOOOOO SORRY for being gone for a little over 2 months !!! I promise you it was NOT by choice, but rather by a HUGE INCONVENIENCE. If you follow me on instagram ( @ scrubsnsquats_ ) you already know what happened to my laptop, but for all of my TH-cam friends that don't know... my laptop of 9 years over heated, and just decided to give out on me one night. I record this video a week before my laptop broke, and I have been soooooo egar to get this video out and posted because I know this topic has been a HUGE QUESTION of yours !! and today is the day that I am finally able to answer it and clear the air :') I really hope you enjoy and take a thing or two away !!!
**Ps. It's been a PROCESS to learn an entire new editing software, so I hope I didn't disappoint all you iMovie users lol

I love all of you so much and I hope you have a fabulous week!! Be kind to one another😊
Thank you for this informative video. You gave us a glimpse of what a typical day for a postpartum nurse looks like and I like knowing what I can expect.💕🍼

Hey girly! I thought about being a L& D nurse in the future bht i like the idea of being a postpartum nurse a lot more. 😅
Are u able to make videos on how to chart as a new nurse and how to chart during nursing clinicals.
I want to be able to chart accurately and not have to get sued thats my biggedt fear.😅
Great video topic idea. I just took note, thank you for the feedback
Can you do a practice assessment on mom and baby?
Awww I'm bummed because I'm just seeing this comment right now, and I do feel like this video topic would be helpful, so I took note of it now. Thanks so much for the feedback, but I'm sorry I'm seeing it so late : (
I missed you so much girl I’m glad you’re back and posting you’re my favorite TH-camr ❤🤞

As a RN (registered nurse) I'm not afraid of loosing my job or quitting my job because I learnt how to save to invest putting my money back to work to make more money. I'm not just after the money but the freedom to live on my terms
@Camila Santos yeah I make 3k as extra income from my investing trying so much to build more side hustle and extra income
You're doing great keep it going @Bashir Auwal
There's a lot of investing options real estate, stocks, ETFs, crypto but my best advice get a professional lead you into profitable one and make good financial decisions
I work with Rachel Blanc, growwealthywithrachel
She's a great expert and has been influential in my financial journey, I recommend her to everyone
Investing should be everyone's top priority now. You'll be ecstatic with the decision you made today in a few months
Thanks for this super informative! I'm starting my position as a mother-baby nurse in August! I'm so excited!
YAY I’m so happy for you! You’re going to love it so much 🫶🏽🥹 If you need anything, feel free to reach out 💓 I’m glad you enjoyed this video and found it helpful 🤗
Couple questions: 1) do you administer meds during the initial assessment? 2) have you had any students shadow you? 3) were there any extra tasks or duties that surprised you when first started, like stuff specific to postpartum?
I will administer meds during my initial assessment for example, some common meds are: Tylenol, ibuprofen, ketorlac, colace, prenatal, lanolin, benzocaine, labetalol/ nifedipine if they are blood pressure mom, insulin, & much others :) I do have students shadow me some days 🫶🏽 & What surprised me the most right after nursing school was how much modules and education that still has to be completed when going into the workforce🥴🫠
I hopefully start Nursing school in January!!! Any Advice ? ps. your goalssss
AHHHH THATS SOOOO EXCITING 🫶🏽💓💓💓 GOOD LUCK 🤞🏽 word of advice is that it’s going to get really challenging along the way and you’re going to often catch yourself comparing yourself to others, but it is so important that you remember that this is your journey and that you made it in nursing school for a reason. YOU GOT IT GIRL👏🏽
I love you so very much ❤.. your nursing school journey have inspired me so much 🙏🏽
AWWW ILY !! Thanks sm for the support babe
Missed you!! Glad you can help me at such a perfect time for block 2 😎
I would love to hear some stories of what you have encountered during ur shifts
Does your hospital hire LPN’s in the post-partum unit? I know they usually do not in L&D, but I read somewhere that they might in post-partum.
I actually haven’t met anyone who has their LPN at my facility, but I’ll definitely ask and get back to you because I’m not too sure on that one 🤔😊
Hello great video thank you. I would love a report sheet I am a mother baby nurse as well.
Sometimes I am only a postpartum nurse depending on patient load.
I was on magnesium my first delivery....I was so out of it! 🤯🤯 uff all the information you have to know!
Thanks. I'm going into my last semester in the program. My 1st choice is L&D then PP
What meds are most used in this department and what should we know about them
Hi to you miss darian do you have a plan going to phillippines
Yes I will be a Postpartum Nurse !
God bless you beautiful 😍😍
I want to see it an updated report sheet
Very good video!!!
I like you and the way you took your time with clarity.
aww thanks bestie🥲🩷
I loved my postpartum clinical and that’s what made me decide that I want to be a postpartum nurse. My labor and delivery clinical was intense lol! I was on my feet on the move the entire time and all I was able to eat was two pieces of candy at the nurses station and barely any water 😖 so yeah postpartum is my first choice, l&d is third (OR is second)
I LOVE THIS ORDER OF UNITS FOR YOU!! The OR would be nice :')
6 months later and it’s still the same lol! Did an internship in the OR and loved it BUT… I went back to postpartum and fell in love with it all over again! So I will be definitely looking to specialize in postpartum nursing and eventually becoming a midwife 🤗
Updated report sheet!❤
You can definitely Email me if I haven't already sent you a copy off my updated PP report sheet : ) - dha35@nau.edu
