Season 1. Then just go straight to Season 5. The interim just gets nasty. I always felt like the writer's strike really fucked that show. Season 1 was something like 23 episodes. Season 2, 3, and 4 were half that.
Same here, the writers strike really fucked up the show as far as Im concerned...and that pisses me off so much! This show had SO much potential...I wish I had a time machine to see how the alternate universe would have shown Heroes without the strike.
Peter was the most powerful Heroes character and then they ruined it by changing his powers to where he can only absorb one at a time. That's when the show really started to go downhill.
2020; I liked. I mean, it should have been that way from the start. It turns out that he was becoming too powerful and making the other heroes half useless. And it only got worse because the writers left him overpowered but at the same time they did not exploit his potential which was frustrating. But that doesn't change the fact that Peter and Matt Parkman were my favorite heroes.
Nah, preferred it that way. That was Faaar from what brought the show's quality down. I think they just panicked. Heroes was a huge smash and they had a hard time following up the season without making it seem so repetitive

I think that Niki's second personality is actually her twin sister that was killed by their alcoholic violent father. During the show they say that her twin sister died to protect Niki from her father, she (the other twin) had a very prone to violence personality, she was the one that always fought back and always did whatever it was necessary, so I really believe that Jessica's soul/mind traveled to her sister's body in order to survive.

He's totally solid in Season 1. He's an absolute BOSS when he's on top of his game, being the wise mentor who knows all the tricks "What am I thinking now, Parkman?" "Your last thought." Stone cold! Come on, who doesn't love that?? And unlike most mentors, he doesn't die! Instead, he keeps making the same mistakes and he comes off as incapable of development. At least, that's the sense I have of him from Seasons 2-4. How many times do I have to sit through this "I love my family" as a defining character trait and story arc? Show me more of him in the house with Claire, teaching her how to kill someone with a bat.
Syler. Probably one of the best TV villians of all time. they did start ruining the character late stages of the series but the character was still awesome. Hiro is awesome as well but Syler was another level. It's sad they zachery didnt reprise his role to Heroes Reborn but I guess Zachary has moved on :(
I absolutely agree with this list. Hiro is the most important character and has the best personality. Tho Peter can absorb his power. He becomes less enjoyable after he loses them. I think it's because his power was a bit too op. Claire was also one of the best but I absolutely hate that they killed her off in reborn. Matt started to annoy me after a few seasons. And Emma was agreeably a inspirational character. Representing those with disabilities. Her power was beautiful.
Sylar should be #1 on this top ten list. His character was strong, complex, very interesting to follow and made him one of the best villains over the past decade in TV series. I've seen Heroes Reborn and it's not up to the same level as the original series. Even though Tim Kring's aim was not to produce a sequel but a stand-alone project, in my point of view the bar is considerably lower.

I love this show. The top 3 powers I would want are Claire's, Nathan's and Matts, yes Peter and Sylar can have all of their powers, but it's to much power.
Don't expect a lot from it. If you get your hopes up you'll be let down. It's a good series but it seemed that the writers didn't know what to do with the series.
Don't listen to Jonathan watch all 4 seasons the 2-4 isn't as good as the 1st (that is definitely true) but still watch it I'm going to rewatch the series and I hate rewatching shows.
The fact that each hero has his/her own, unique ability is one of the best parts of the show. Every time a character shows up who can copy it the person who originally was the only one having it becomes less interesting. That's why I never liked Peter - his power was not having an innate ability like the others - any power he ever had came from someone else. Sylar was amazing, since claiming powers was a part of his goal. And Zachary Quinto was incredible.
I hope in the future they make a heroes reborn list. that'd be cool. also i wish that both Mika and especially Ando would have made at least the honorable mentions list. i Definetly agree with so many of these rankings. especially the last 3. He was the only reason why I watched Heroes Reborn. Easily the best, and most consistent, character in the series.
He's totally solid in Season 1. He's an absolute BOSS when he's on top of his game, being the wise mentor who knows all the tricks

Stone cold! Come on, who doesn't love that?? And unlike most mentors, he doesn't die!
Instead, he keeps making the same mistakes and he comes off as incapable of development. At least, that's the sense I have of him from Seasons 2-4. How many times do I have to sit through this "I love my family" as a defining character trait and story arc? Show me more of him in the house with Claire, teaching her how to kill someone with a bat.

Syler. Probably one of the best TV villians of all time. they did start ruining the character late stages of the series but the character was still awesome. Hiro is awesome as well but Syler was another level. It's sad they zachery didnt reprise his role to Heroes Reborn but I guess Zachary has moved on :(

I absolutely agree with this list. Hiro is the most important character and has the best personality. Tho Peter can absorb his power. He becomes less enjoyable after he loses them. I think it's because his power was a bit too op. Claire was also one of the best but I absolutely hate that they killed her off in reborn. Matt started to annoy me after a few seasons. And Emma was agreeably a inspirational character. Representing those with disabilities. Her power was beautiful.

Sylar should be #1 on this top ten list. His character was strong, complex, very interesting to follow and made him one of the best villains over the past decade in TV series. I've seen Heroes Reborn and it's not up to the same level as the original series. Even though Tim Kring's aim was not to produce a sequel but a stand-alone project, in my point of view the bar is considerably lower.

Don't listen to Jonathan watch all 4 seasons the 2-4 isn't as good as the 1st (that is definitely true) but still watch it I'm going to rewatch the series and I hate rewatching shows.

The fact that each hero has his/her own, unique ability is one of the best parts of the show.
Every time a character shows up who can copy it the person who originally was the only
one having it becomes less interesting. That's why I never liked Peter - his power was not
having an innate ability like the others - any power he ever had came from someone else.
Sylar was amazing, since claiming powers was a part of his goal. And Zachary Quinto was incredible.
Peter's power wasn't just to absorb others powers it was also his empathy that was what he used to learn how to control each ability.

I hope in the future they make a heroes reborn list. that'd be cool. also i wish that both Mika and especially Ando would have made at least the honorable mentions list. i Definetly agree with so many of these rankings. especially the last 3.
