Em and 50 was my childhood and Kendrick was my late teen years, this stage was EVERYTHING to me. Dr Dre is a god of a man for blessing the world with these legendary icons of music to the entire world.
@@courtneygooden9609 I'm 23, literally grew up listening to Em, 50, Akon, T Pain etc literally all them of them 00s artists as a kid. Then I started high school in 2012 and that's when Kendrick dropped m.a.a.d city.
This was the first time that Hip-hop artists were featured as the Main attraction in the superbowl and not a side attraction. This half time show was EPIC. Dr Dre has been responsible for the rap careers of Em & Fifty. He produced Mary J song and he was behind the entire line up of artist. It took 6 months to plan. Of course Kendrick is from Compton. So the entire performance is an homage to Dr.Dre, the West coast rappers/LA and the compton/ Inglewood area. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The cuts/interruptions was bc snoop was cussing and they had the bleep it out The reason 50 was upside down is bc that was how he was in the video "in da club", 50 was Eminem and dre newest lab specimen The piano played by Dre was Tupac song "I ain't mad at ya" The boxes was a symbol of how alot of artist are in a Box/cookie cutter artist but Kendrick is always outside the box. The industry try to put Kendrick in the box but he always manage to bust out of it. I could be wrong but the dancer with Kendrick were very militant like, move alike, be told what to do and they do it. But Kendrick moved around freely and even stepped over their militant motions. Just like alot of artist in the industry, they end up militant but Kendrick keeps getting away like nwa was outside the box, Eminem is outside the box. Kendrick will be 35 this summer he wants to be on his own planet like Dre, snoop, and Eminem. Notice how he was in the back of the legends. He said sit down and be humble Snoop outfit was a crip bandana print with ram yellow on it. Gang affiliation color with football
I was there he wasn't really cussing at all. He just said "Still doing that shit Dre? and Dre said "oh Fosho. They didnt have to cut the audio for the word "Shit" lol.
@@TheRuby13red In the unedited version of this broadcast, Snoop says "shit" just like in the original song. They cut it out, which is why the beginning of that performance has choppy parts.
Dr Dre and Snoop goes all the way back to Death Row Records in the mid 90's. They represent the West coast. Mary J Blige's 'No more pain' is based on her own personal experiences. That's why it has so much depth in it. Thanks guys. Enjoyed it very much. 😍👪👍
One NAME: Mary J Blige - The LEGENDARY QUEEN of Hip Hop Soul and R&B! And with that we see the importance of honoring the true legends of the history of the arts, those who founded the path
I was quite excited for this performance. I was in high school during this Era. This was my sh*t but when you see them now, it made me feel Hella old. Hahaha
As someone from LA, this was really special for us. It felt really personal especially the set representing Compton. The tam's burgers, which was the sign on the set, are all over LA so it was really cool seeing that! Also Kendrick, Dr.Dre, and Snoop all being from the LA area makes it even more special cause they got that born & raised love for LA.
Em The Goat Of Hip Hop Forever!👊🏽🙌🏽🐐🔥🔥🔥✨(He killed it I’ll put this in the Top 3 of SuperBowl Performances fasho MJ will always have The Greatest SuperBowl Performance Of All Time! Btw when the crowd of extras ran up to Em in the hoodies and lights it reminded me of the actual “Lose Yourself” Music Video/8Mile Movie)
The audio didnt cut on purpose at 19:04, watch other videos taken of the whole performance and you can hear DRE answering "fosho" and all that in the stadium. So it was more than likely a glitch with this recording.
They did cut the audio purpose. If you listen to the original video, Snoop says "shit", just like in the actual song. In the US, you are not allowed to say that word on network television. They had to cut it out.
Don't know if anyone addressed this yet but the skips around 19:00 was to mimic what a skip would have sounded like back in the day when Dre worked the mixer. Yall too young. Lol. Everything is digital now. That's the vinyl life coming back to life.
No, that's from the network cutting a portion of the audio because Snoop says "shit", like in the actual song. If you watch the unedited version of this performance, you can hear him say it, and that choppy sound isn't there. They had to cut it because you're not allowed to say that word on network television.
Please reaction T-POP : Proo Thunwa - ชอบคุณนะ (UNSEND) OFFICIAL M/V single debut of Proo Thunwa from Lit Entertainment (Aheye 4EVE is in this M/V too.)
Artist DO NOT GET PAID for performing at the Super Bowl. They capitalize from exposure being on the biggest stage. They will never be on a stage this big with viewership from around the World.
Ngl, this is a quite boring show. They should give Eminem more lines and their performance more budget. I mean, it's The Eminem, the greatest rapper of this generation!
Its not about Eminem. If u aint noticed the obvious alrdy its a tribute to Dr. Dre's legacy. Thank him bec if not for him maybe your greatest rapper of all time wouldnt even exist in d first place.🙄

Yep, every single person on stage he produced their music and/or discovered them.
He'll basically go down in history as the rap mozart at this point.
No way if they were childhood then Kendrick was ur late 20s early 30s lol

We must have been listening to something different because I never heard cussing and bleeps. It was the clean version this time. Good one!
@@OTAEN7 They do have to cut it, actually, for network television

If only Pac had made it to the 2000s. He'd be old now too but he should've been up on that stage.
When Dr Dre first got on the piano he was playing 2Pac “I aint mad at cha.” Search it. You’ll love it.

It was dre's day, don't disrespect him like that🙄
