    He drank coffee with huge amounts of butter and coconut oil every morning for breakfast and people wonder why he had a heart attack. Exercise will only get you so far. Your diet is more important and Bob is a perfect example for this. In spite of his ostensible fitness, Bob still had a heart attack because of his poor diet. The fact that he had it so young has to do with genetics, but if he were eating properly it never would have happened.

      Actually he was not YOUNG at age of 51 to have heart attack, many have them in their 40's. It been founded through autopsies of American soldiers artherosclerosis exists already at age 20!!!, not surprising been eating meat and fat diet for TWENTY YEARS. Having a heart attack at 50 shows HOW RESILENT the humans body is. Too bad then, people then just really ABUSE IT.

    • @adamaj74
      @adamaj74 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It IS young to have a heart attack at 51 or 40s or ever for that matter. It's become the norm over the last few decades for us westerners because we are increasingly eating more animal products and processed food and moving less. And it's becoming more normal in parts of the world that historically haven't had our diseases of affluence but have been slowly adopting our eating habits. It's amazing what people will get used to and accept as normal! It's NOT normal to have heart attacks and it's certainly not normal to have them in your 40s and 50s. The people in blue zones, vegans, people that eat plant based whole foods, etc. just don't have heart attacks. An Okinawan would call a 51 year old a baby.

    Before his heart attack Bob was on the Rachel Ray show promoting a coffee recipe with a teaspoon of Ghee (Butter) and a teaspoon of coconut oil. He said he drinks it every morning. I find it crazy he keeps blaming his genetics for the heart attack. Which is basically trying to observe himself of any ownership of why he had a heart attack.

    As a vegan I cannot stand people saying that it's purely about diet. Yes, the amount of cholesterol people consume plays a part, but it is about genetics. There are people with very low intake of cholesterol or even vegans with high cholesterol because of mutations in their genes just like there are people with low LDL levels that eat McDonalds all day.

    Having clogged arteries is genetic? Hmmm.....

    • @A.I.-
      @A.I.- 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes... its genetic; the "dumb/stupid gene". Makes you unable to decipher good vs bad information. And you end up believing the wrong information >>> which leads to wrong eating >>> which then leads to a clogged artery and then a heart attack. It always start with the stupid gene.
      But modern science saved many people's lives, including stupid people/gene. Where if it was Mother Nature, she would have killed these stupid gene to stop them from reproducing.
      Hence >>> if you're born dumb, you tend to do dumb things (including what you eat).

    Bob mentioned one thing in the interview that is the most important, "cholesterol." Bob was a Vegan for a time a number of years ago, then went back to eating meat, dairy and eggs. Genetics did not give him the life-threatening condition of Atherosclerosis that almost killed him, his diet choices did. This really goes to show you that exercise alone is not enough. Not even the amount of intense exercise Bob did daily and/or weekly was enough. The diet still remains the highest determining factor for avoiding almost all causes of mortality. To anyone reading this.. go Vegan. Stay Vegan.

      I don't think most people (who haven't gone to college) know how hard it is just to get into any college let a lone a famous one. Then get into a professional program like medicine. Graduate. Get a job in that field. And be good at it. Not just "get by" or do it badly.
