Great video, well shot. Very informative! Just got a Presto card four months ago. Didn't know about, being able to use a Visa, or credit card at time. Nice to know about all the options we have, very convenient. Thank You.
Great video, I need to go to downtown tomorrow, I decided to take the TTC, because I don’t wanna drive my car, there’re too many people and cars, but hard to find a parking spot, I hate downtown
Hello, A few days ago I saw your video about the Presto Card, and you suggested me to watch this video about paying for public transportation with a Debit or Credit card. The truth is that it seems like a better option for me to pay with my Credit Card, but I have 1 question: If I use the UP express from the Airport to Union Station, and then take the subway to another station, should I pay twice? Or also there is 2 hours free. Or since there are 2 different transports, do I have to pay?
The 2-hour free transfer window is only valid for the TTC, it doesn't crossover to UP express. So yes, you'd need to pay a fare for the UP express and then pay for the subway (you can use your credit card for both)
@@LivinginCanada I'm unsure how the Presto works - I have an account (but not a card) with a credit card as payment method - my thought was that I use that card to tap and get any discount eg on UPX - is this right or do I need to do something else like load a virtual Presto card. Please clarify.
Great video. One question I have: what constitutes a "transfer"? Will I be charged another fare for a return trip, within the two hour window? Thank you.
So I'm assuming, like presto cards, the system knows when you are transferring from, for example, the subway to a bus and thus it won't charge you twice (when you are still within the 2 hour window)?
I want to know this too - the webpage displayed at 6:16 to prove the 2 hour transfer is on the Presto webpage not the TTC - I can't find out if just using a credit card is the same - though LivingInCanada said this was tested - maybe the credit card is linked to her Presto account
@@Mattventuring Both Presto and Credit/Debit cards work with the 2 hour transfer. They don't have to be linked. When using credit/debit, that info is stored in the Presto system as a virtual presto card. That virtual presto card is used to track the 2 hours for transfers and used by the inspector if you are checked.
thank you , so when we use the debit card ,we do not have to tap it for getting off and if we use of other transportation from TTC whitin 2 hour, we just need to tap it for getting on, right?
What if I’m going from Toronto to malton? I would tap my credit or debit card, once, without paying the extra fare And when returning within the 2 hr time frame, back to Toronto, I tap again, and won’t be charged? Is this correct?
UP Express is "Ap" and not "you pee" UP= Unoin station Pearson aka it goes from union station to Pearson airport and vice versa. It also stop at different stations.

if you travel in a Viva bus in York region, transferring from a YRT bus... do you still need to purchase a ticket?
Can they tell if you’re using a senior presto card, when you tap?
Can I pay with the presto app from my cell phone?

@@zaraboz999 interesting, so they keep that card information in their system...
