tbh I think that a lot of these are great ideas, but at the end of the day it matters how you market yourself and how many people know who you are/who you've worked with. Oh and don't be too good for side jobs and gig economy work while you are getting your feet wet! every city is different in how it works it's important to meet people and figure out what works best in your town. LA is very different than Nashville, which are both very different than Portland. know your music scene, or move to a place that matches what you want to do.
Marketing is big! I think that kind of goes along with networking. Meeting new people and being curious about what they do can do a lot. And if you do a job for them and do great, that’s even better. The city thing can definitely be something to think about. Some cities are just a lot more involved in the scene. Good point!
@@malcolmmalik LA is pop and rap, portland has a variety, much more punk/rock/metal/indie scene. in general no one is coming to portland to become famous, can't say the same about LA or nashville though.
@@CreativeMindsAudio Ah I see, that makes sense. I've spent a lil time in Nashville and there's a small but strong and growing hip-hop community there. Thanks for the info!

I do all of those things you mentioned within music. Keeps me busy, but lots of editing.
But I also do photography and videography on top
What would you say keeps you busy the most? Editing?
And I also do some video work at the studio sometimes myself!
The longest and hardest journey starts with one step.. and moves with the next step..
I always tell people not to focus on the mountain of work ahead, but just one step at a time ☝️
